BUYER BEWARE!! This contractor took $2450 and never showed up to start job. Ignored all attempts to reach him. Then he cancelled our agreement saying he’d refund our money. That was several months ago and we have nothing. Now we’ll see him in court. BAD BUSINESS.

Hired contractor Stewart Deitz of 458 Madison Avenue Jermyn, PA 18433 to hang some walls in our basement den area, as well as hook up a sink and hang two doors. Stewart quoted a price of $2,100.00. Stewart was paid in cash ($2,000) on 12/26/2019. From the onset, Stewart Deitz was constantly rescheduling the start of the job with all types of issues. On the first day he finally showed up, he had his older son helping him since his "guy" would not return or answer any of his calls. After the first day, which was approximately 2 hours of work...hardly anything was done. In addition, during this first day of work, the wall panels he put up were done in an improper manner...poor workmanship, which he left that way thinking I would accept this as sufficient. Each day was a challenge to get him onsite to perform some sort of work. After several back and forth with no progress other than him cutting some panels (I will add here, he cut the panels without proper measurements and wasted over 50 panels that we had for the job), Stewart Deitz was fired on 1/8/2020. He was asked to bring the cash I paid him, while taking out a portion to cover the little expenses he has as well as the few hours of work he did. He was allowed to pick up his tools that were left at my property on 1/9/2020. Stewart Deitz is unwilling to provide back the money I paid him nor two doors that he states he purchased for the job. I will now have to file a civil complaint against him, which will not be the first filed against his business as I've now come to learn.
