We would give no stars to this unscrupulous and unethical company. They came to our home, as we wanted shutters at front door, Hunter Douglas Luminette Privacy sheers at breakfast nook slider, which we had in our last home. They did not have style book, only materials. They suggested motorized action Roman blinds on master bedroom slider and cords on other 3 windows. They (or their employees; they didn't do any of the work) split wood when they were stapling wire for motorized function. They stapled wire to wall and then it runs along baseboard and plugs into socket. They also had an ugly double orange negative and positive connection showing, but they thought it okay to hide with a decorative box we have in master bedroom. The shutters did not/do not fit. My wife called and complained same day of fitting, as we did not inspect everything until they left. They installed cheap plastic vertical blinds at breakfast nook with a sheer topper which was akin to a shower curtain. They returned for repair the following Saturday with caulking to fill all shutter gaps and attempted to fix shutter that would not even open or close. Shutters at top of door do not even function. They replaced cheap plastic vertical blinds with a Hunter Douglas sheer, albeit it is NOT what we requested. This sheer is a vertical with a sheer covering that totally creases when closed. It also fell off track day of fitting. We contacted our credit company to dispute, as we paid almost $10,000 for inferior materials and shoddy workmanship. We were asked for $4700 deposit and would it be cash. My wife informed them we use credit cards for large amounts. She was then asked not to share knowledge of credit card having been accepted. Day of installation we were asked yet again if we would be paying cash. One of the owners was also seen coming from the back of our home. I contacted them and asked when they are coming to remove everything and why one of the owners was at the back of my property without any announcement before or after. We have pictures of absolutely everything and paint/ wood damage that was done on both visits. I asked Alan Levine if our credit card company had been in touch, as they had not responded. Our account has temporarily been credited, but we just want them to take their substandard materials from our home. He informed me that his attorney has all the information and that he'd see me in court. We should be the ones taking them to court as they did not/have not delivered anything that was requested. I look forward to showing the judge all pictures taken of the shoddy materials and workmanship. We have more caulking on these shutters than we have around our bathtub. Subsequent to court threat, I have officially filed complaint and pictures to California State License Board and their Bond company. My wife entrusted their misleading ad and wanted to use local business. Even stating they do not like to accept credit cards when the clearly advertise credit cards are accepted. Biggest mistake ever staying local in this case. All we want is for them to remove everything so repairs can be done prior to having reputable company come and install quality materials with acceptable industry standard workmanship. I shall also be contacting BBB and reviewing on Google. Do your homework people. Please don't believe everything you read. Also, it's so sad that because we wanted to retain local business, we are now experiencing this nightmare. Today, December 3, the California State License Board is now in receipt of official complaint form, back up correspondence and pictures of everything. We have an expert who is willing to testify in court that what we have is most definitely NOT acceptable or within industry standards.
