He personally recommended one of his crew for a job to update a bathroom, build a deck, frame out a garage and some other odds-n-ends jobs (water heater, ceiling fans, etc). He vouched for him and said if we had ANY problems with his guy or work, he'd "make it right". We bought the materials, and paid the guy half of his quote upfront. We lived out of state, in LA, and so gave the guy a key and said "work when you want". After 2 weeks, with minimal work, and all the "easiest" stuff done, he began the harder tasks of cutting tile, etc. After 3 days absence from us, and then seeing what he tiled out, it was a horror show. Literally broke 1/2 the material WE provided, no pitch to the shower, big giant gaps between the tile floor...just completely horrible. Then he left the job, and some of his tools. No word & no call. When I contacted Darren Dennis, he came to my house, looked at the work, made excuses for most of it, then gave us some phone numbers for people who he "vouched for" to finish the job. When I criticized him for this, with the expectation HE finish the work, he said I was "beating him up" for what the other guy did (HIS guy btw) and he was just trying to help us out, doing US a favor and using his time to give us references. We never heard another word from him after that and now have to hire someone new to rip out the old work and start again. All in all Darren Dennis' guy took 6,300 in materials and $. As well as changed our locks and paid someone to haul all the trash off
