I would not recommend D L Hunt as a contractor! He discussed with us a quote to install granite countertops complete with two braces for the overhang and said it would be professionally finished. After the install I asked where the overhang braces were and Dennis said he didn’t think we needed them and often left them off. It is a 12” overhang. He did not finish off the top of the backsplash and it looked unprofessional. We paid a plumber to caulk it for a finished look. We had never had granite before and didn’t learn until a day later that it should’ve been sealed and Dennis never mentioned that fact at all. While Brothers Granite crew did a beautiful job, Dennis, we felt, was unethical on our project. I’ve spoken to three contractors since this job, all confirmed that the granite overhang should definitely had the two braces Dennis initially recommended. For this reason, I would NOT recommend Mr DL Hunt for any further projects.
