Since buying my Dennis Olive home 9 years ago. I've had the following problems...
1. Roof leak where the mushroom fan that was put in was letting water come the attic during heavy rains, forcing me to replace all the attic fans.
2. Busted outside faucet that caused water pouring out between the wall and the brick veneer every time a hose was connected. Faucet couldn't hold any pressure. Had to go through the wall from the inside to replace the facet. Bathroom drywall had to be repaired and repainted.
3. Tree roots in the main drainage line from the house. This was caused by an unsealed PVC pipe that leaked water and allowed the tree roots find the pipe as a source of water. I had to have my yard dug up and the PVC cleaned out and sealed. A large portion of the front yard had to be re-sodded.
4. No less than 3 hot water slab leaks that have caused us to have to jack hammer down to the pipes each time to repair it. The floor tile had to replaced after each repair. This was due to faulty flex pipe that was installed through the house. Each incident cost 3,000 after homeowners paid for the excavation and finishes.
5. Just discovered today a drainage leak coming from the kitchen sink.
Bottom Line: DO NOT BUY a home from DENNIS OLIVE BUILDER.
