An absolute disaster. A contracted 5 week project (a backyard deck) took 7 months, and then Derek abandoned the job. Before he walked off the job, the building inspector had made him redo the footings and fix the framing because Derek had done such a poor job. The inspector said the work looked like it had been done by a total novice. We took him to court and won a judgment to pay for materials that we prepaid for but that he never installed. (He did get a nice new truck right after he cashed our check, though. Go figure.) Never hire him! Total liar.

Hired Derek to do some work on our house and he had a total temper tantrum. Not quite sure what happened but after exchanging some text messages with some, he began kicking and the punching the side of our house. He broke a beautiful potted plant we had on the deck (which belonged to my deceased mother). Something is definitely not right with this guy. Seems like a very angry person.
