    Install security door
    $400

I contracted with Home Depot to install a security door -- very simple job -- on 5/1/2021. They couldn't come out to do a door measurement until 5/14/2021 (two weeks). On the day of the job, I get frantic phone calls from both Home Depot and Desert Moon saying they need to verify my address. I call Desert Moon and leave a voicemail verifying my address. I get an email from Desert Moon saying that the measurement has been completed and someone would contact me within 2-3 business days to schedule the install. After 6 days I go to Home Depot to find out why no one called to schedule the install. It takes Home Depot a week -- 6 more days -- to figure out that Desert Moon actually DID NOT make the measurement (despite the email saying that they had) and as of 5/22/2021 a measurement still hasn't been made for the door (3 weeks). The Home Depot in-store rep told me "they are impossible to get a hold of". I cancelled the contract and went with another door supplier as I have serious doubts that a company who can't do something as simple as schedule (and complete) a security door measurement would be able to install it properly as well.

    Security garage door installation
    $238

A young man, Hayden, arrived at our home timely (within the time he said he would arrive) and his work was done very well. He was conscientious and did a nice job of cleaning up after the installation. The installation service was scheduled through Home Depot.
My only negative comment would be the amount of time it took from the time I paid in full for the installation to the phone call to schedule the install. I was about to cancel the install the day a call was made to install - 11 days after I had completed the contract at Home Depot.
Thank you for sending Hayden to our home - he is to be commended!

    Door installation
    $500

What a complete waste of time! After scheduling a door installation through Desert Moon Door, I cannot say how frustrating the experience has been. I had already gotten up early on a weekday and waited all morning for the installer’s call. Nothing. I found out that the installer cancelled my appointment the day I was set to get my new door (I found this out through Home Depot, not Desert Moon Door). I left a message for them. Two days later, I get a call asking to reschedule my appointment, as if nothing had happened. After talking to a “manager,” I find out that the incompetent installer couldn’t install a right swinging door where there’s currently a left swinging door. Manager confirmed, as everyone else had, that the swing of the door doesn’t matter. Without speaking to me, the customer (who could’ve solved the issue in less than a couple of minutes), the installer just decided not to do the job. To make things even worse, the “manager” tells me that a regional supervisor will be calling me before hanging up on me. Guess what? No call. So, when I call Home Depot again, I find out that Desert Moon Door REJECTED the job that they were hired to do and subsequently screwed up. Incompetent employees, beyond poor customer service, no accountability - I hope no one gets stuck with Desert Moon Door. You’ll regret it.

    Door installation
    $1,700

The only thing good about what they did was show up on time. They had to cut my tile to install the door, However when they cut my tile They left big gaps in between where the tile in the door should go. You would think they would have snapped a chalk line and tried to cut it as straight as possible but no when they cut it they were all over the place. Against that and not only that when they were finished with the job they left a big mess in my kitchen and trash all over the place. After calling them about the issue I had with the tile they told me that it was the owner's responsibility to regret the tile and to fix it. Very unprofessional and would not recommend this company to install a door.
