    turf and new irrigation system installation

    We recently underwent a major landscaping project that involved replacing the turf in our front and backyard with planters, rocks, and artificial turf. As a half-acre property, removing a significant amount of turf is required. Our primary concern was the increasing water bills, which led us to apply for the SNWA program. This program rewards homeowners for removing turf based on the amount removed, but specific watering rules and plant coverage standards must be followed.

    While looking for a landscaping company, we realized the value of having a detailed design sketch. Although this service came at an additional cost, it proved very useful. The clear instructions saved us money and reduced change orders by giving us a precise idea of what we wanted. We sent the drawings and instructions to various landscaping companies to request pricing quotes. We were concerned about the company's ability to complete the project and our ability to work with them, as unforeseen circumstances often arise.

    After several discussions, we chose Desert Oasis Landscape Construction based on pricing and their perceived capacity to complete the project. Desert Oasis suggested we buy the plants ourselves and have them planted, which was unusual but worked well. We knew which plants we wanted, and the contractor understood where to place them. If certain plants were unavailable, they recommended substitutes. Due to inconsistent plant costs, we had to consider some size factors, but we generally knew what we wanted.

    Desert Oasis Landscape Construction truly excelled, surpassing our expectations. The project encompassed over 50 plants, a vibrant mow curb, a new planter wall, red rock, a new irrigation system, over 4000 feet of artificial turf, a paver walkway, giant boulders, and landscape lighting. Kevin, the onsite project leader, was an absolute professional, keeping us informed every step of the way. Ramon, a key team member, brought his expertise and efficiency to bear, playing a crucial role in the project's success. The crew maintained a clean and orderly project site, delivering the highest quality work.

    Overall, we are delighted with the project's outcome and the work done by Desert Oasis Landscape Construction. Our front and backyard transformation has been remarkable, and we couldn't be happier with the results
