  Where should we start? not a good experience overall. We hire Design & Projects Jade L.L.C (Cesar) it was a family referral.
  I wanted to just get an estimate at first. Cesar came to our home and took measurements of the kitchen he send me and estimate and I told him I was going to wait sometime.
  After a few weeks he texted telling me that he didn't had much work and that he had an available slab that he could use and saved for me sense he could not return it and just wanted to get his money back and that it would save me over $1,000. after going back and forth I agreed to it sense I was really busy at the time and just wanted to get it over with. (first mistake, rush decision what I wanted to get done in a matter of weeks cost me months)
  We schedule a time for him to come in and take final measurements . Cesar came to our home promising to complete the job in a timely manner but it was all just talk. My Major mistake was proceeding with the contract(a piece of blank paper created with a Microsoft windows template) that was dated February 14,2016 along with a cash deposit. I knew this was not a real contract right from the beginning but I let it go sense it was a referral from family and I told myself "what could go wrong". Big, big mistake and one I will surely learn from and I hope you don't make.
  The amount of time that it took to get a simple small kitchen done was unacceptable. We are not talking about a big expensive kitchen with over 20 cabinets.
  The job was completed on April 28, 2016 with not to say, multiple calls made to the contractor asking them to come and finish the job (I have calls logged) what was supposed to take "weeks" ended up being "months". The typical excuses we would get from him "I have too much work" "it's raining" "the trailer that I use to haul my equipment with needs to be fix" "the cabinet shop messed up my order". Those are the contractors problems not the customers. Oh and by the way, what happen to the "I don't have much work", "the cabinets will only take 6 weeks", "I told them to rush your cabinets before the month ends" "I can get it installed in 1-2 days"?
  It took 3 weeks for him to delivered the cabinets after the cabinets wore already build (text message, "they are ready since last week I been busy but hopefully I can do your delivery Saturday or Sunday so you can tear out when I deliver them"
  We ended up taking down the old cabinets for him to come and just install the new ones, we wore without a kitchen sink for 3 weeks. and they completed the job after another 2 weeks.
  Is not just the bad job overall that frustrates me the most or the money that I paid them, that eventually comes and goes. What frustrates me the most is the amount of bad talking someone makes and cant back it up nor will take responsibility for their actions.
  I can keep going on regards how terrible the job and customer service was but,
  bottom line is just, Beware of unprofessional contractors. Make sure you have a detailed legally binding contract on the job that they are doing along with contractor's license, specified date when the job is expected to be finished and both the contractors signature and your signature agreeing to the terms explained. Don't be misled by the sweet rainbow f*cking unicorn BS words that come out of someone's mouth.
  Having 25 years of experience, having a contractor's license, having business insurance, having business cards or a fancy business name means nothing if you can't back it up with your WORK.
  Nevertheless it was my fault as well and I take full responsibility for doing business with someone without a legal written contract, I could of had been an asshole and not pay them the remaining of $1,842 after the job was done sense there was not a legally binding contract in place nor a sign paper of any kind stating I had to pay that amount and could of had just paid someone else to finish the job, but, it is what it is.
  If you want a job to be finish the right way make sure you do things the right way from the beginning. It will save you a lot of frustration, money and time. Seek professional legal advice before dealing with a contractor for a major home remodeling. I am not telling you to do it, I am begging you to do it.
  my suggestion, save your money to pay for a real contractor who operates professionally with real contracts and someone who is responsible enough to work with you to get things done the right way, not someone making bull---- excuses all the time as to why they can't finish something.
