Ray completed my doors and walls as he explained. He built an amazing custom cabinet and completed the job on time. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to have a contractor do any work.

NO NOT HIRE THIS GUY/company. Ray McDowell should not be in business. It appears he has changed his name several times and keeps representing himself at home shows as a professional. All of the prior reviews describes this guy. He does lousy work, hires sub-contractors who are not skilled and does not supervise them. All of the work had to be redone several times and still unfinished. Sub-contractors said they were not getting paid and would leave the job - many days of no shows. Contractors would also say they couldn't get supplies because the credit card wouldn't go through. Plumber hired said he didn't know how to install a sprayer. He delivered a low grade of faucets/tub, not the one ordered. Left electrical wires just hanging and told contractor to just stuff them in the attic. One tile contractor even tried to cut tile while it was on the wall. A painter showed up with no tools and did a terrible painting job. Homeowner had to do the painting. I'm left with a job that has to be totally re-done. His name should be out on Channel 5 has someone no body should hire.

This contractor is a crook. He didn't finish the job, didn't pay sub contractors, quality of work was poor. Then, before we knew it, he filed for bankruptcy.

Do not hire this contractor! Check the Dallas County ROAM database first to see the numerous judgments, liens, and complaints against this contractor involving failure to complete jobs, failure to pay taxes, and failure to pay employees.
We hired this contractor through the Dallas NARI home show, thinking he would be reputable. 21-day project (as per contract) has taken over 7 months, and contractor no longer sends workers even though our kitchen is only 70% complete and unusable. Work product was shoddy throughout, and most mistakes required multiple re-dos.
Unfortunately we made the mistake of paying in full early on, and then the excuses and lack of communication started. You have been warned!

Ray remodeled a kitchen for us. What was going to be about 1 month took 6 months. We ordered high tech wifi apliance’s and sink faucets door handles etc. this alone should have told them the type of work and materials we expected. they busted the stovetop installing the vent a hood. They installed dishwasher wrong. Apliance company said the installation was bad and warranty wouldn’t touch it we had to order a new one. We are now waiting two months to get a new dishwasher. They cut the hole in the ceiling to large for the vent. Did not fix it. They did not connect vent to the new vent in roof. They installed the roof vent in a brand new roof and used tar to attach it. Door handles are crooked, soft close drawers and cabinets do not work. Used cheap material and sub contractors he found on craigs list. No one knew what they were doing. Electrician was out three times. Had three companies out doing tile and still has to be redone. Four painters came out had the cabinets restained three time always the wrong color. Ended up having to pay for new doors to be made twice. Chipped brand new quarts counter top in three places. Had to repair those three times. And can still see where it was chipped. Had all doors in the house replaced. They don’t close, they are crooked and the door knobs are all different levels. So after paying over $40,000.00 to this guy plus another 20,000 for Apliances. We had millstone come out. They had to install a new breaker and run new wiring install new plugs because everything was wrong, We have to get a new tile contractor because the marble tile is all chipped and has to be redone. Have to get a new company to come and paint. And doors need to be re done. So now our 40,000.00 project is going to be an additional $30,000.00. Had I known the issues I was going to have and known that I was going to have to do this kitchen twice. I’d gladly have paid the $70,000 for a contractor that knew what the hell he was doing and do it all one time . Do not use this company.
