Diamond Home Remodeling

My experience was fabulous while doing the work and the first roof leak experience was excellent!! However, when a second leak occurred damaging the beautiful wood on the ceiling of my back porch customed built room all changed. Their representative who dealt with me through the original work and the first leak came out and said yes that was not there when he identified the first leak. However, the manager claims that there is no proof it wasn't there. Here is my review: I allowed Diamond Home Remodeling, Inc. to do the work of replacing all siding, roofing (two separate roofs), all gutter and gutter guards on my home because they were 5 star rated. A couple of months ago I saw water damage and called the owner Steve who was extremely nice. The original topnotch salesman, Josue Merino came out, and he inspected the entire room with me watching. We saw absolutely no other damage on my beautiful custom-built room. Then Josue and their roofer came and identified the cause, which was poorly nailed roofing that caused leaking. The roofer replaced all of the cross-shingle pieces on that part of the roof and it was fixed. and the company was willing to fix any water damage. Then last week I looked up and the beautiful wood at the peak of the room around the chimney was all water damaged and the brick was discolored. I immediately called Josue who came again took pictures and said that this was new damage, and they would address it. Nothing happened for a few days and then after making calls it was Nick, office manager, who was coming to see it. His take was what proof did I have that the damage hadn't already been there. I was in shock. Now I am facing several major health issues and am not supposed to have stress and when he said that and I explained no damage was there when the first leak occurred, and Josue only took pictures of the damage area. He still insisted I need pictures or some proof. My blood pressure went sky high. I was dumbfounded. He said he would talk to Josue and the owner, Steve, and get back to me. I waited for two day and finally I called and spoke to Nick. He said the roofer would be out next week to assess the matter. I told him that the roof never dipped toward the chimney as I could see from an upstairs window that it was, and he said that they had redone it that way according to code, never saying a word about it to me. Now I know why it started leaking. It's a water basin and water has seeped in. I have lived her almost 40 years and have had 3 other roofs put on that room. The last was 7 years ago and never have I had any roof leaks nor was the roof changed from it original one. I haven't slept for 3 nights and am shaking all the time internally and externally and developed an upset stomach and can't eat solid foods since yesterday. I have contacted the county inspection office to get an inspector to evaluate this situation In the meantime the damage is worsening with the rain, and I now do not want to go into my beautiful, beamed room because I just cry about the whole situation. I am honest elderly woman and not a liar. I will revisit this as it develops and will update my review accordingly. I hope the owner will intervene so that I do not have to file a complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission. The reason for the rating is that I have not slept for several day and am getting sick hoping it does not rain anymore before the roofer comes out almost two weeks after notification.
