    As stated the experience started out great. Our dream home was being created and was guaranteed (verbally) well within our budget. Paid the high planning fee thinking well worth it. Well after several trips to Michigan and hours of planning the sales rep contacts us with the final cost which was way over our budget. Although this happened a bit ago it still hurts. I feel they knew they couldn't do it within budget from the get go. They just wanted to take us for the $5000.00 dollar planning fee then tell us the bad news. I hope I am incorrect with my thoughts. I really do.

    Initially the process was pleasant and we were presented with an estimate that was within the budget we stated. As we got further i to the process the relationship went south. I asked for a detailed timing plan so there would be clear definition of the events (with dates) to when the home would be completed, never received and pushback the entire time. We then received a more refined estimate which was 73% higher than the original estimate. Part of the explanation was the original estimate was based on year old costs. This should have been brought to our attention when we received the initial estimate. Digging deeper, we found we were being charged $50/dimmer switch, at most this should be. $15 charge. Many snide comments when asking for more cost details and questioning costs. In the end we cancelled the project as it seemed clear there was no interest in our project. To us a classic bait and switch that cost us thousands.

    Great team, they were a joy to work with. and everybody from the project managers to the gentleman at the front desk were fantastic to work with. I would not build a new home with anyone else.
