04/14/2022In today's world, it is very very hard, if not impossible, to find a contractor that you can trust and know you are being treated by a company that you can trust. DJ's HVAC is that rare AC company which operates under three words, Honesty, Pride, and Professionalism. I have now had the pleasure to have used their service two times. From the first conversation that you have with the owner of the company, to the final demonstration of the completed job by one of his cheerful and professional techs, you just know that the job was done, and done correctly. If you are having issues with your HVAC system, and, looking for a company with the above rare qualities, then look no further than DJ's HVAC.
Yes, sometimes you just can not make all customers happy, but, in most cases, there is a lot more to the story that the negative responder will write. I

Techs came to fix my air conditioner. The work was shoddy; it is impossible to get the filter out, because the metal on the upper edge of the filter slot is bowed downward, creating a lip that makes it impossible to slide the filter out.
In addition, the techs dropped what sounded like a very heavy piece of metal (I’m guessing is was the old air handler) against the wall in the hallway. I heard the tech say, “oh shit,” and then heard rubbing on the wall, as if he was inspecting the damage. The same wall was repeatedly bumped with what sounded like metal (I don’t know if it was tools or pieces of the ac unit).
He did not explain what work had been done, would not show me how to remove the filter, even though I asked 3 times, he just took the check and DID NOT GIVE ME A AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT, nor any receipt, and rushed out the door.
After he left, I tried to remove the filter, and found that I could not do it because of the bad work on the edge of the slot.
When I walked to my room to get my phone, to call the shop, I saw chips of paint on my floor, then saw that there were several gouges on the wall.
I called the shop, and talked to the receptionist, who then handed the phone to the owner (?). He asked me to send photos and videos. I did.
He did not reply until an hour later, after I finally texted, “How do you plan to rectify this?”
He said he would send a “senior technician” the following day.
At no point —phone call or text— did he acknowledge, apologize for, or offer to pay for the damage to my hallway wall.

Unbelievably bad AC company! Called them on Thursday they went out Friday spent 4 hours at our beach condo then said a fuse blew and they fixed it. Found out that the AC was still broken and asked them to go back they spent another 4 hours and said they couldn’t find the AC unit on the roof of the condo. Then they just left with the AC still broken. Had guest staying that night they didn’t care they said the must figure out where coolant leak is and that would be back next day to do an extensive leak test. Can’t believe them so not going to let them go back. It seems like they just hang out at the condo do nothing and leave. Don’t use them!
