Dolphin Pools Gulf Breeze

We just had a pool installed by Dolphin Pools last month. We got several quotes and ultimately decided to go with Dolphin Pools, and we are extremely happy that we did. Dolphin Pools was not the lowest quote we received, but the owner Jimmy Foster took us out on a Saturday morning and drove us around to look at their work - old pools, new pools and everything in between. He took the time to show us the kind of quality work that they do, and didn't just give us few phone numbers of old customers.

Jimmy's crew did a phenomenal job. They were really nice guys, answered any questions we had and always cleaned up everything at the end of the day. They really paid attention to every detail. We also had an elevation problem in our yard - it sloped drastically towards the back. The crew met us at Lowe's and picked up our block we needed to get to build a retaining wall to help with the grade.

Like I said, they were not the lowest quote we received but they made up for that in many ways. We were able to put our pool equipment where we wanted it, and we were not charged extra and they built our retaining wall that we needed- that was unexpected. We have a tendency to expect a lot from people, and we honestly had no complaints about using Dolphin Pools. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a pool.

We built our pool a year ago, I met with 4 pool builders in the area, Jimmy was the only one that gave me a few of his customers that I could talk to and invited me to come see a job in progress.

I can say I didn't have the experience Raymond that left a review had, I had everything I wanted up front and what those costs would be and Jimmy made sure I understood all the costs.

From start to finish they were professional and answered any of my questions. I work from home and got to see the pool being built daily. If I had to do it again I would go with Jimmy at Dolphin Pools. Great service before, during and after the job.

Jimmy was somewhat annoying to work with- always saying "sure, we can do that if you have the money" or words to that effect while making the Johnny Football "Money Sign". The install was okay for the most part, although we thought the handrails had a tarnished look, he installed them anyway. After a few weeks, we noticed some water that appeared around the base of the handrails on one end of the pool. He said it was nothing to worry about. Now, a few years later, it turns out that the gutter drain installed in the deck was too short to drain the water away and was channelling water underneath the pool deck slab. The deck on that end began to drop over time. It happened so slowly, our only indication of a problem was the screen enclosure door not closing. While investigating that issue, we discovered the problem- a huge, washout of the soil under that end of the pool. It was almost three feet deep with the only evidence being a small hole in the soil between the drain and the tiles placed in the yard as a step-out. One foundation expert and one drainage expert later, we have corrected the problem to the tune of over $5100. Seems like a competent pool installer would have ensured that such a drainage issue would never have occurred. Sorry we chose them and would not recommend Dolphin Pools to anyone.
