When I heard of the comment made by "James", I felt I had to add to your comment board about SCJ Construction and Development and its partners. I told Steve to post the letter I sent them after the completion of my second renovation with his company

Dear Steve ( and Team)

Just wanted to thank you for the awesome job you and your "dream team" performed when you renovated my master bath. Any construction company could have put in a new shower and cabinets, etc; however you were able to help me dream big and the result was a completely new AND ENLARGED bathroom.

Thank you for enabling me to see that just a "re-do" would not solve my space problem. The additional construction you " envisioned" and your team "performed" not only helped to solve my space issue, but the beautiful results have pleased me beyond my greatest expectations.

I'm always singing your praises to my friends and neighbors. All the best as you make other homeowners as pleased as I.

I am 68 years old, I guess I'm one of the elderly SCJ has targeted you mentioned !!!!

I would recommend this contractor because of his honesty and capability to provide the level of quality you want to pay for. He has a diverse spectrum of sub-contractors that can meet your individual needs. I found extraordinary value by using his services even though I was competent enough to be my own contractor. I have built 3 home previous to this experience. Gets a 5 star rating IMO.

I have known Don for 30+ years, and the info from James is absolutely incorrect. Although Don has never built anything for me, I have visited his work sites many times, and includes a 5 or 6 story condo, and single family homes. I never noticed anything that was not completely and properly finished, from start to finish. He insists on having his jobs professionally done to the owners full satisfaction, and this without the owners having him make corrections.
If I was to have any construction done, I would surely get Don to build it. I have contacted him at least twice to give me estimates on a certain sized house, but I am a condo guy who has what he wants. His estimates were lower by at least 15% from what I thought they should be, and that tempted me, but me, I am a condo guy.
Maybe James has Don confused with someone else.

Don Haynes just finished a major remodel of our home. I cannot DISAGREE more with James's above assessment.

Don came to our home, provided an estimate of the work to be performed, gave us a quote, and provided services to the quote, plus our changes to the work.

His team was very professional, pleasant, and completely trustworthy. We often left them working and asked them to close up the house at the end of the day. Nothing was missing during the entire process, which took several months to complete.

Don's work is not cheap, but his work is of the highest quality. In the world of "you get what you pay for", we found his work to be well worth the cost. Additionally, he is completely amenable to customer questions/concerns and is willing to work out a solution with no hassles.

Our experience with Don is so contradictary to the above assessment that I can only conclude that the above was written by a competitor trying to trash Don's business for his own benefit.
