CONSUMER BE AWARE OF THIS CONTRACTOR. DON HUYNH DBA: DON ROOFING,SIDING & FLOOR in Wichita, KS. Phone # 316-516-7532. I had them install an engineered hardwood floor on a subfloor and it was installed improperly. As a result of their poor workmanship and lack of experience and unskilled labor the floor has to be pulled up and reinstalled properly. Don left one of his employees here to do the install and he spoke not one single word of English. The planks of the hardwood floor are butted tightly against the interior walls, no clearances for expansion and contraction due to Temperature and humidity changes throughout the seasons. The end of the planks where two planks butt together all run in a straight parallel line, did not stagger the planks. The floor was installed on subfloor, they did not check the subfloor for flatness using a straight edge. They didn’t nail, staple the flooring and as a result the floor snaps and pops when walking on the floor, the subfloor does not pop and crack, its the hardwood planks that snap and pop.
Does not have the proper tools and or skill to lay hardwood flooring of any type. Their were several planks that had to be cut on a table, they did not bring a table saw, I had to set my DeWalt table saw up so the planks could be cut. Also there was other slipshod workmanship done. According to Build Zoom web site his Kansas contractors license was revoked on 05-19-2025
