Terrible Workmanship and would not recommend:
The worst experience I have ever had in building contractors. Don Karleen worked on my house for over 6 months, took $35,000 for faulty, incomplete work that was so bad, the new contractor I hired had to re-do everything. It was a homeowner’s nightmare. I am now in a legal dispute to get my money back. Though he told me and others that there was no evidence of termites on the premises, the main beam of the house was completely infested as well as the front porch which he actually worked. At great expense, the house had to be raised and this main beam replaced despite that Don Karleen was working in this very area and either did not detect or did not know that the damage existed. It is amazing that Mr. Karleen is allowed to work. In addition, he had a terrible rapport with other workers whom I hired, including two painters whom he accused of lying and deceitful practice. This contractor even stored one of his collectable organs in my garage during the process. I have never in my 60 years, working on over 10 properties, in three states, ever encountered such poor and incompetent workmanship, and I would advise anyone looking for a contractor to stay clear.
