    Install 3 windows and a door, remove rotted doors and wood from two walls of sauna room and reframe

    Pella introduced Don Lunan as a Pella Certified installer and if I went with him they would insure my windows for life. Contracted in December given end of January as completion Date. August Lunan walked off job after ordering the wrong siding. I was threatened, intimidated, ridiculed and lied to by Mr Lunan. After each of four incidents when I requested that he follow building codes, he punished me by not returning to the job for weeks. I was told things like it’s not in the contract, you do not need flashing above window trim because this is not the weather side of the house, you have a large overhang, caulk will cover it. The absence of a sliding door pan in a very wet area, stopped one of his sub-contractors from installing the door so he sent a second subcontractor to just put it in with caulk. After finding out he ordered the wrong siding which he assured me Redwood northwest would take back (they would not) he accused me of holding up work and I would be hearing from his attorney. I am 77 year old disabled homeowner who has owned this home for over 50 years. I have had both Marvin and Pella windows and doors installed by other contractors who artfully trimmed caulked painted, finished inside sill work and cleaned the windows after. I know which side of the house storms come from and how high blowing rain reaches. I spent days recycling debris they left here for months and removed upper decking to move the project along. My blood pressure meds were doubled twice during this project to protect my dural fistulas and I now have to have a shoulder replacement from all the lifting I have done to pick up after their messes. I am left with a mess of leaking untrimmed windows, unsided room with an uninstalled door. He offered to give back 5,000 from the 28,000 he took from me. He was supposed to pay for stem wall I had to have done by another company when he tried to put a 3 inch wide wall over and next to broken concrete (a code violation). They also attempted to install all pressure treated wood in a sauna room where people spend hours trying to detox. (Code: sill only).
    After walking off he is now offering to complete the job. He must think I am senile.
    My health does not give me the strength to put up with another moment of dealing with this dishonest, abusive charlatan. I’m now gathering more bids to finish and will be utilizing the contractors board.
