    repair roof leak

    Done Rite — done wrong — DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    Done Rite Roofing charged an outlandish fee for work they DID NOT DO. They charged $1,200. to remove cracked and damaged stucco from the chimney of my house that was causing water to seep into the interior.

    They sent the bill stating the job had been finished but unbeknownst to them, I watched their employee do the entire ‘repair’ and I have construction knowledge and experience. He merely globbed on a ‘Thin-set’ material on two sides of the chimney from the juncture of the roof and the chimney; about 6”- 8” high, and 5½ linear feet long.

    It took him 30 minutes to do the repair and about $1.25 for materials. He didn’t use a bonding agent, which gives concern about the repair’s longevity.

    When I called the office for an explanation, they wouldn’t talk to me about the repair or return my calls when I left messages. I told the secretary that they had not performed the services that were agreed to in the contract, and she then sent an email with an attached bill reducing the amount owed to $800. from $1,200. That would put the hourly rate at a cost of $2,398.75 per hour.

    The price charged for this service was a rip-off to begin with but the fact that they did not perform the service is FRAUD.

    Did not put flashing around my drier vent just shingled the space around it. That's just poor workmanship. I have a roof leak now 15 years into my 30 year shingles. Will not rehire.

    Just wanted to write a quick review on our experience with Done Rite Roofing. We ended up replacing our old tile roof after it started to leak on us the last few years, it's almost 20 years old. We ended up replacing it with fiberglass shingles by Owens Corning. The whole process went smooth with no issues to think of. The color we chose came out looking really nice. Just wanted to give an appreciation to the workers who worked effortlessly during a stretch of some hot days. They truly are some hard workers!!

    I just had my roof replaced by Done Rite and they did an amazing job!! They were very professional, friendly and affordable. Being a first time homeowner I didn't know what to expect, but their staff was very helpful and made this project a quick and easy one! I will definitely be recommending them to my friends!
