Dorn Engineering & Development LLC has been in business since 2009. A self performing multifaceted company capable of small to large civil, commercial, and residential projects ranging in value of $500 - $5 million plus. Small contractual works are as highly regarded as the larger more sophisticated projects performed. The main line of business is civil construction with emphasis on excavating, grading, and soil stabilization. Both long term existing and new commercial customers seek us for our civil storm remediation work specialties; including grade restoration and erosion prevention improvements pertaining to native soil common areas, rip rap slopes or embankments, concrete and soil cement drainage channels/washes, etc. Civil and structural engineered consulting services are provided to clients in house with our valued sub-agent partnerships called upon when licensed stamped engineered drawing/spec documents are needed by the related municipalities.

New building envelope construction, interior tenant improvements, and or repairs on existing structures are also self performed with specific mention to cmu block walls, wood frame up, steel erection, concrete demolition, concrete cutting and grinding, concrete placement, stucco, painting, and other finishes. Although not the main area of focus, we'll accept residential projects on a selective basis.

Operating with a long term perspective we strive to complete projects in a fashion exceeding clientele's expectations earning referral for future business. We understand that our client's main intention with every project is meeting or beating the original project budget avoiding costly change orders. To achieve this goal we work beside our client's to recognize possible unforeseen circumstances before the project begins. These upfront conversations typically assist in avoiding surprises that may arise during the performance of construction.

Our business plan does not include seeking to capitalize on costly change orders. Dorn Engineering & Development values highly the commodity of time required to build a trust worthy reputation as well as the consistent execution standards imperative for maintaining it. All work is warrantied beyond state required standards using the highest quality of manufactured back product lines.

As a growth oriented SBE certified business we seek to form ethically founded partnerships with large General Contractors through subcontracting our civil capabilities. Previous coordination efforts on such terms include but are not limited to companies such as Ashton Contractors, Morcon Construction, and Smith Construction Management.

    Extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and ethical. Owner represents company on a first person basis stressing open communication with clients to ensure complete satisfaction. Provided a much more expedient, high quality, finished product over that of large general contractors our community has hired in the past. We have only used this company for large community works.
