Beware, we believe Scott Arnold and his business are no longer operating.
Scott Arnold dba All American Deck & Porch responded to our deck project request made through Porch.com.
We signed a contract in mid February and made a $5000 deposit.
To date he has done no work and has not delivered the deck materials as promised.
Although on April 13th he began a building permit, the county records indicate the permit has not been paid for and so is not being processed.
We have not heard from Mr. Arnold, who has not returned any of our communications (email, text, voice message), since April 13th when he sent the below email:
.... I have to tell you that I messed up the application submitted. I thought it had been submitted and failed to follow up to make sure. I have attached a photo of the screen where it was just submitted. I apologize for this mix up and delay. The silver maple decking is in and I will plan to have it delivered Monday of next week (4/19) and place it in the garage.At this point we need your help to determine if Mr. Arnold cannot do the job and will return our deposit, or if he can do the job promptly.

In the beginning all was great but when final payment was due he never came back to finish the job. Do not use this contractor for anything.

DO NOT USE THIS MAN!! We signed a contract with Scott for a deck/porch in February. We paid the requested deposit and we’re told work would begin when the weather improved. We have not heard from him since despite numerous emails, texts and calls. We have requested our deposit back but are not hopeful.
