This company is not honorable & does not care about small customers, unless you are their primary client, builders. I asked for an estimate for grass installation on 3/11/24, They began install on 3/27/24 (for the builder covered amount) and that day I asked them to please install the additional grass that I would be paying for- at which time they told me “unfortunately I can no longer honor that quote or install. After 20' was ONLY at time of install.” Ok, fair enough, however they were STILL INSTALLING and weren’t done until 3/29/24. I requested they honor the price they had given me since they were still installing- they would not. They told said I would have had to pay for it 2 weeks ago- however never told me this at the time of the quote, so I had no idea that was their requirement or expectation. I even spoke to the owner, he said “they are so busy with the builder’s work” & He blamed the builder and said they tell the construction managers to inform the buyers to pay for it 2 weeks before install… which is not true. (The construction managers don’t facilitate anything beyond what the builder pays to install).
I informed the owner no such conversation was had and he said “ we just can’t do it”.Double H Landscaping only cares about business if it comes from their main client. Fine, their prerogative, however they should not even bother giving us” small customers” estimates that they are not willing to honor based on timelines no one informs the customer of. I work in a customer facing business as well (real estate) and I would never treat clients in such a way.
