They installed the plumbing and HVAC in my house. Within 4 months of living here they have had to come back 12 times and this is just the beginning...2x to adjust the temperature on my faucets and the other 10x to work on my brand new HVAC unit. Come to find out...DWD's installer was unaware that they needed to pitch the intake and exhaust piping coming from the HVAC unit.
Now, I have portions of my exterior wall and interior wall cut out so that they can reinstall the piping this time ensuring that it will be raised 1/4" for every 12 inches of piping.
The inconvenience is beyond my wildest dreams of having bought a brand new house, literally built from the ground up. It has been expressed thoroughly to me by many construction professionals that it is standard to pitch ANY pipe that is anticipated to have water/fluid moving through out it.
This is not little "oops" nor is it a fault of a lemon of a HVAC unit... this was because DWD failed to have their installer trained properly, failed supervise the installer, and the construction company and developer who hired them also failed to supervise their work.
The end result.... My family and I are without heat in the winter presently, we had to take off work every time they were here and lost significant amounts of money just to allow them in to "diagnose" the problem, which took 10 visits and now we will have to endure construction and more work time lost so they can repair it.
What have we gotten...just a "sorry."
