I have a duplex in Austin and it needed flooring, painting, granite counters, and new appliances plus some outside work such as roof singles, and wood rought. They started with the exterior and did a great job. Then they started in the interior removing popcorn ceilings. It seemed like everything was running smoothly, until I noticed that a lot of time had lapsed and no real progress was made. They originally told me the complete job would be 4-5 days. It's been 11 days now and only the ceilings were painted along with the exterior work. There is still popcorn debris all over the floors, no new appliances, and no flooring. I called 3 of their people numerous times and didn't get a response. Last communication I had with Adam was on Tuesday and he told me there was a glitch in his payroll system and his crew didn't get paid and therefore quit. He said he would have another crew come in. This did happen on Wednesday and I thought all was well again. His foreman called me on Wednesday night with an update and said the ceiling got one coat of paint and the popcorn debris was cleaning up and that on Thursday they would be prepping for floors for vinyl plank and carpet. I went to the duplex on Thursday at 3:30pm and there was no crew there and no progress was made and popcorn has been somewhat swept up but the mess was still there - no way to prep floors while popcorn was still there. I drove back this morning and made 3 attempts by phone to Adam and a few texts and still didn't get a response. When I arrived once again there was no crew and nothing progressed. They left me know choice but to find another general contractor. I put 50% down on the job as they needed to order the flooring and appliances. To my knowledge, it never got ordered and I still need to work out a refund based on the work that was done. These guys seemed nice and I still want to give them any benefit of the doubt. Any company or individual can fall on hard times. I'm a very patient person, but I lose patience when people go silent. I will gladly remove this review if they will simply call me and work something out, even if they can't continue the job.
