If I could give it less than one star, I would. Like many other reviews, it was assigned to me by First American Home Warranty. I had heard that FAHW assigns the worst contractors but I didn't know how bad it was. I called on Tuesday for a leaky faucet in my upstairs tub. They came by Wednesday and took a quick look and said they were gonna look in the truck to see if they had the part. A young guy went down to see and came back and said they didn't have it. The older guy said they had to order the part and the sooner they could come back is Friday (Black Friday). My gut feeling told me they were not gonna come on Black Friday but I waited for them half a day for nothing! I called them several times, several messages and NOTHING! I called FAHW and they said they couldn't send someone else because it was gonna take longer. When I insisted, they put me on a forever hold. I decided to hung up, call back, cancel my request and ask for a refund. Needless to say, I will not be calling FAHW again.
By the way, when they came, I asked the guy how much it would be to replace the handles and the guy gave me a huge story about not being able to just change them and said they had to open up the wall OR break tile!!!! I'm like, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! opening up the wall just to replace a handle? he quoted me $500 for that job and then I would be stuck with a hole on my wall facing the living room! Thank God I didn't end up doing any business with them. Do not trust them.

It took them 7 months to install a water heater to code. 5 visits. David was beyond rude arrogant. When we told that it had to have a pan, he replied, you didnt buy one. They don't care

Actual rating is "Minus one-star". I cannot recommend Drainco Plumbing in Whittier to any one. On May 5, 2020 American Home Shield hired this plumber to repair a leaking faucet in my master bathtub. The tech arrived on time and was pleasant but it resulted in a nightmare experience. He had trouble removing the faucet handle (didn't have the right tools) and after about 45 minutes said he would order a new faucet set and come back and install. After many calls to Drainco as to when he would return, he finally did show up with the new set. He again had trouble removing the original fixtures and ended up sawing them off (both handles and the spout), damaging my tub in three places so that it will have to be reglazed (which AHS does not cover because it is 3rd party damage...Drainco!!!) He said the replacement parts he brought with him would not fit and would have to order another set and come back again. After about 4 weeks and many calls to Drainco and leaving messages with the receptionist or voice mail, I gave up and asked American Home Shield to send another plumber. Because the parts/fixtures had been removed AHS did not want to cover the replacement parts...another story. Also, Art Salas, Jr., the Drainco owner was going to have his sister come from Las Vegas to Chino Hills CA to repair the tub and never did come up with a date she could come and fix it.
Finally on October 2, 2020 my "Knight in Shining Armor" arrived from Plumbers, Inc. in Riverside CA and replaced the fixtures and repaired all the pipe damage/destruction done by Drainco. He was knowledgeable, fast, professional, on time and friendly. Attached are pictures of the damage done to the tub and the parts left by the Drainco tech which I dug out of my trash after the tech left. I would never recommend Drainco for anything...bad repairs, terrible communication, and they lie.
I tried to upload pictures of the damage to the tub and the box of all the sawed-off parts but this site wouldn't let me do it. One more thing, it will cost me about $600 to have my tub reglazed and the color can't be matched to the shower. Makes me sick!

I wish that I checked reviews on the Yelps when they were assigned by First America Warranty. This company is SCAM!!!!! Never use them. They are only interested in collecting your payment.
I recently reported a gas pipe leak to Frist America Warranty, and Drainco Plumbing was assigned to me. On 1st appointment, only One technician came and he need to do an air pressure test, and it is two man's job. Therefore, he told he need to come again with his co-worker.
The second appointment, I guess two guys showed up but did not do anything. Because they found there is a pipe used to connect to the jacuzzi, that pipe has no valet after Jacuzzi is removed. To do air pressure test, they have to eliminate that pipe. They knew home warranty does not cover that and I was not on site, so they just left again. Although I emphasized to their front desk to call me when the technician is on the way to my house, so I can meet them in person. Such a simple request was never fulfilled either.
The third appointment, I paid $285 to eliminate the pipe. Finally, Drainco Plumbing started to diagnose, and then they report to First America Home Warranty as the pipe in the foundation is leaking. My claim was DENIED since the issue is outside the house.
Now, I had my own contractor to diagnose the issue, and he told me that the only gas pipe in the foundation was already eliminated by Drainco plumbing. All the leaking pipe is inside the house.
Run away from this company. I wonder why they are still in the business with so many bad reviews.
