Started out good, but closer to the finished and now finished product its like it was botched together.... I wanted tile in my kitchen but contractor too worried about time consuming doing it, not the linoleum at the seam has come apart...the floor molding is not together. cabinet molding is apart . house siding during April wind storm came off, contractor notified but has yet to come as promised...I haven't had a 6month nor 1yr walk thru....when contractor notified it the same story." I'll try to stop by this week. But never does....It appears to me the contractor should go behind the subcontractor since they are withholding up their name. For the most part I am enjoying my house, but its ridiculous to have to keep running about them to come and repair what they have done.....And I can sign my name because I will tell them this.....KIMBERLY THIGPEN GAITHER

If you are considering Drake Builders, don't waste your time, and PLEASE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY. It has been a horribly time consuming and costly experience and my home is still unfinished. I hired Kenneth Barnes to do a mild renovation on a very small 2 bedroom home. I needed walls taken out, new windows and 2 french doors installed, an interior paint job and refinished hardwood floors. I gave a hefty 50% deposit and he promised he would be done in 30-45 days.. The job was to be completed October 23rd, 2016, and here we are 7 months later and the job is not completed yet. My experience has truly been a nightmare. He tried to charge me $4,000 for what he described as 25 sheets of drywall installation. I came by the job site unexpectedly one day to bring paint swatches for the interior paint job and i found a group of what appeared to be undocumented workers who looked absolutely terrified at our presence. The french doors were hung so poorly that they wouldn't even lock and once when i came in town to see the "progress" one of the french doors was sitting open. After i began to see that this project was going bad, I called the city to come and inspect the work that had been done and to find out what we can do to move this project along. Well it turns out Draker builders had not pulled all the proper permits to do all the things they had started and this is ILLEGAL!!!!! Honestly, I am so disappointed as this guy was referred to me by someone i really respected. He walked away with $12k of my money and my house is just sitting there unfinished and now i'm stuck trying to find someone to finish the mess he's created. DRAKE BUILDERS SUCK!!!! And i'm a witness. God don't like no ugly. Buyer BEWARE!!! Poor Workmanship, over ran budget, took money and quit, as well as went 7 months past the projected completion date. I may be filing suit. Ms. S.Bey
