For me, when I review anything usually it's either a 1 star or a 5 star. Dream Builders deserve a special new category - minus 5 stars perhaps. We hired them to do a remodel on our 3 bathrooms. Their price was competitive, but not an outlier for being super cheap. Mainly we went with them because they seemed down to earth and they seemed to understand the job (we wanted a modern design). What a mistake that was!
The best way to describe the experience is to quote the email that I sent them as we tried to negotiate a refund due to Dream Builders walking off the job before even starting work on the third bathroom: "this isn't a situation where work was done in good faith, but issues have come to light later and/or the specs of the original job were changed. It became very obvious to us that Mike Deri (the owner of Dream Builders) had no intention of doing the job properly. He continuously - and knowingly - lied to us about the completion date, he was unable/unwilling to schedule contractors to actually come in to do the job and on the last day he was continuously calling his contractor and telling him to leave the job, even as John (theoretically the project manager) was at my house telling him that the job wasn't done. Needless to say Mike never offered to come and inspect the job before signing off on it. For God's sake the bathroom door doesn't even have a handle, the medicine cabinet came off the wall and we can't open the drawers on the vanity because it's built too close to the wall and the door frame. I could mention many, many, other issues. His contractor was aware of some of them, but was ordered to leave. At 2 pm in the afternoon. He didn't even do a full days work.
David mentioned the delays due to the mold discovery and the tiles not being available (because John didn't give us the correct numbers to order). Even if we're generous and allow a week for each delay that still means Dream Builders took eight weeks to do an (incomplete) job on two bathrooms and a walk in closet. I won't even mention in detail all the times I had to get involved in the project - project managing - getting tiles at the last moment, buying a nail gun for the contractor and even having to buy DW40 so the pocket door could be fitted properly!"
Please never use Dream Builders! You WILL regret it. -

STAY AWAY from this company!!!!! They are a nightmare!!!! They should change their name from Dream builders to Nightmare builders. This company makes all the promises and doesn't deliver any of them. They started a 2.5 bathrooms project for us 11 weeks ago. They haven't finished the first stage which was 1.5 bathrooms. They broke the contract 4 weeks ago when we gave them a deadline . The workmanship is terrible because Mike Deri doesn't do any planning, materials were forgotten, the painting horrible, cabinets coming off the wall only 2 days after they were hanged... Do yourself a favor a run away from them!!!

I had a 2 bathroom project. That I was told would take 4 weeks. 4 months later, and the worst craftsmanship I've ever seen. Grant you I added the garage to drywall, and there was some mold, but it still did not merit 4 months. None of the guys are licensed in their trade, therefore the work is crap. Mike calls them his "everything guys," I word I know to stay away from. Mike also yells and doesn't want to do the work right if you notice bad workmanship. The floated my floor 1 1'4" off the floor without asking me first. He makes design decisions without telling you when it's too late to fix. Also what he agrees to when bidding the job is not what he sticks to. He buy all materials from home depot, and if they don't have it says he can't get it. He's lazy. I'm a designer so if you know what you are doing, never hire this company. Their attention to details is horrible. Everyday when I got home for 4 months something was wrong.
