Dream Home Landscape Contractor

We had a positive experience working with Jay. He took our basic ideas for a front yard remodel and created a stunning look we love. He was able to suggest creative solutions to existing topographical issues. We plan on using Dream Home Landscape for continued periodic maintenance.

Jay and his crew @ Dream Home Landscaping were amazing. Jay not only Designed our project but he was also on site working everyday. As a long time home owner my husband and I have remolded many homes and to have a contractor of this caliber work on site everyday is above and beyond. When we met Jay we presented him with a list of amenities that we wanted and within minutes ideas started flowing out of him. He helped us with our spa and our therapy pool deliveries that weren't even in his scope of work. We now have a magazine quality backyard. I would and will recommend Dream Home Landscaping to all my friends. Oh I would also like to note that I made multiple changes and ad-ons and Jay was very reasonable and did not hike up the prices on the change orders.

Complete fraud

I would never recommend this company. Jay Ward is not true to his word. As mentioned in another review, he provided a written contract, yet made numerous verbal commitments (not included in the contract). He is all talk. When questioned about the verbal commitments, he acts as if they were never spoken, and refers to the written contract. He doesn't finish through on his work. For example, a gas coupling needed to be replaced for "safety reasons" as pointed out by him. This was never done. When replacing lawn with pavers, he removed too much dirt. This caused a huge gap between the bottom of the house, and the pavers. He claimed this was "code". Not true. A sprinkler was installed too close to the house, potential cause of water damage. This was never fixed. When asked to take care of weeds (as discussed verbally), he killed not only the weeds but all plants in that area. Some of which had been growing for 10 + years. I have asked him on numerous occasions to fix certain areas of fencing (he built), he has flat out refused. He becomes highly agitated, and directs the conversation onto my "stupidity". When paying someone an exorbitant amount of money to do a good job, being spoken to in a disparaging manner should not occur, EVER. He has been paid in full for an incomplete job.

I do not recommend this landscaping contractor. Jay, the owner of the company, is not true to his word. He provided a written contract and made numerous verbal commitments, none of which he followed through on. For example, instead of leveling the back yard and removing over two tons of excess dirt, he spread dirt around and made piles. He promised to install a new sprinkler timer, but did not. He did not compact any of my DG paths and sitting areas, causing the DG to blow away and spill into other areas of my landscape. He did not use bender board, as promised, to separate distinct rock areas from bark and DG. He installed damaged plants and different plants than stated in the contract, and left garbage (including a razor blade, plastic cups, and fast food) in my yard. His crew also busted my water line in the front yard, creating a huge mud pit. During the walk through when I began to mention some areas of concern/unfinished work he interrupted me, used foul language, and threatened to put a mechanic's lien against my home. I paid him just so I would never have to deal with him again. He is the most unprofessional contractor I have ever encountered in my experience renovating homes.
