I had the best experience working with Evertt and his reliable crews and would very highly recommend DE to anyone!!! They are top skilled professionals who do excellent work and pay extra attention to details. I was very impressed!
The owner of the company, Evertt, is very personable and wonderful to work with. He spent all the time I needed to understand every aspect of the two-fold job of demolishing a brick pathway and asphalt driveway to be replaced with a much larger concrete sidewalk and new asphalt driveway. He discussed in detail his recommendations considering the benefits of one material over the others, relating it to purpose, usage, maintenance and durability. He also pointed out material weaknesses in adjoining areas and made suggestions on how to correct the adverse effects of intrusive tree roots and water drainage issues.
We received a very detailed written estimate, including all the base materials as well, the process of installation, the exact specifications and pricing that was transparent and very fair, in fact, generous in our favor, now that I see what was done and with what care!
The materials were all brand new, no left-overs from other jobs, the concrete was mixed as it poured from the truck, the asphalt arrived steaming hot ... - and they put down at least the 3 inch thickness promised! Like the concrete crew the day before, these men also did not shy away from adding finishing touches by hand.
I was very impressed with the integrity of the both crews. They were cheerful work men who helped each other, super polite and accommodating to us, a true pleasure to work with.
I also commend Evertt for stopping by multiple times a day to make sure everything is going well and his guys are well taken care of. He gets right into the middle of it and, for example, picks up and hauls off the old concrete pieces right alongside with them.
I was totally blown away by the fact that his concrete crew showed up at 7 am, worked non-stop and did not leave until everything was perfect at 8 pm! They did not rush the job to 'get home on time', no, their focus is on doing the job right and excellent the first time. AWESOME!
