A contract was written to put an asphalt basketball court on my backyard property Driveways by H&M LLC. A set price and a completion date was made. A $2000 credit card deposit was made. Not only did they not meet the completion date, " Driverways By Henry " never did the job. They started but never came back to finish. They promised to come back but never did despite frequent attempts, emails, and phone calls. They destroyed the surrounding landscapedarea and did nothing to repair it. When asked for a refund they requested that they no longer be contacted. To date, they still have not completed the task nor have they returned the money nor repaired the damage to the property.

BEWARE! DON’T USE THIS COMPANY. If you do, you will be sorry! The workmanship on this job is so bad that we will have to hire another company to come and pave our driveway again. Can you say thousands of dollars wasted and many months of stress and lies. It was 7 months with the run around as many others have commented on several different websites. Your stress level is going to go through the roof! In the end, he asked us to remove the review if he finished the job. Well, he finished the job and swindled us at the same time. If you consider finishing the job so poorly is something you should pay for in advance than you sound like Henry. (On the day of paving) He didn't show up on time and we had to pay for fill he ordered or the guy was leaving. When he was 1/3 of the way done paving that day, he oddly couldn't pay for more asphalt, we had to run to the bank and pay the truck driver for the asphalt. He also ran out of gas while paving and the asphalt had to sit and got cold. He knocked on the door and asked for gas. He didn't even have money to pay the truck driver and the guy had been sitting there through his getting gas and working with 2 other people not a full crew. We got another knock on the door and were told to pay for the truck driver. (ahh, no!) He was paving on one of the coldest days and only had 2 crew members who could not clearly work as fast as a full crew. It got so dark, because he started so late. (He does this often, he did this at our friends too) We put out flood lights. Only to discover even though we told him (,because we did the math) he needed 47 tons- 50 tons of asphalt. He tried to convince us 30 tons would be enough. If he did that he would not have put down 3 inches of compressed asphalt. In the end he only ordered 39 tons of asphalt and he couldn't finish the end of our driveway. He didn’t have enough asphalt. (He promised in his contract 3 inches of compressed asphalt) We just wanted this stress to stop so we said we’d pay for 15 tons on top of the 30 he was going to purchase. First truck came with 20 tons. The next truck came with 19 tons. We were told by his sister Sandra that you have to pay for the second truck or it is leaving. (We just wanted this done! Fuming and ready to scream we paid for the whole second delivery. How horrible to lie and put your customer on the spot. We looked out and saw that if we didn’t purchase the asphalt we’d end up with less than a ½ driveway done,…forever!) We are sure that he was lying again. He said he didn’t have any money to pay for any part of the second truck. Didn't he check the cost of asphalt before he came to our house. Didn't he say to us that he was ready to purchase 30 tons that day? (The answer is yes!) The next day he came out (remember he didn't have enough asphalt to finish the job) and asked what we thought of his work. We said it looked like crap. He then asked us to split the cost of 5 tons to finish the driveway. Otherwise, he was only going to order 2 tons. (We are at this guy's mercy...so we do. We just want this nightmare to end.) In the end Henry came with less than 5 tons. He lied again!!!! He cashed our check and got the asphalt, but he never got 5 tons. BEWARE ALL! You can’t make this stuff up…The driveway is uneven, has a huge patch in front of the garage, it has seams all over, it is already washing out in the back of the driveway and he was here 3 days ago, and when it rained there were puddles all over our driveway. We wanted to give Henry a fair shot after 7 months of aggravation, we really did. We wanted to believe he just had a hard year. Don't believe the stories, don't think you are getting a great deal, this was one of the most stressful home improvement jobs we have endured. There were 5 families in our town who have had the same issues with Henry. In fact, there is still one family waiting for a deposit refund... If you move forward and use this company, you will live the same nightmare as we have lived! Believe the other reviews! BEWARE! DON'T BE FOOLED! DON'T GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE!
