The entire process was disorganized and unprofessional. We were adding a covered patio to our backyard. The initial project manager that we met with was timely, communicative, and kept us updated with dates and next steps. However, he was let go from Drop Tine shortly after our project began and the owners were taking over. Since then the communication was always one way, us reaching out to them for updates/next steps. We had to manage the build, and contractors. This was our first build and had no idea what we were doing. The owners did not come to our home during the build, only "managing" via text and photos. Afterwards they came by for final walk through. About a week after our patio cover was painted, staining/sap from the wood was seeping through the paint. The fix was to have the same painting guy come out and repaint. After speaking with several other painting companies, the problem was they did not seal the wood prior to painting, and when I said they came out twice and redid the paint, the new companies stated Drop Tine/contractors must have just repainted and again did not seal the wood. Exterior paint is supposed to last 5 years minimum and that is with direct exposure to the elements, this is the underside of our patio cover and it hasn't lasted at all. About 1.5 years later and it is messed up again. If I had reached out when I first noticed it, the time would have been under a year and that is my fault for procrastinating. I would think a reputable company would stand by their work/contracted laborers for an issue they knew wasn't properly handled the first time. Instead I received a quote to fix the issue in the amount of $1,000.00. A shame they would not fix this and just makes me wonder what else they did on the cheap.
