We had a flood in our house. Date of loss was October 25th, 2018. It was mid-December and Matt, and the owner of Dryman Construction refused to start construction until he received 33% downpayment although home insurance put in writing the claim was approved, payment was being processed, beginning repairs. I told Matt my family has been out of the house for over a month and nothing was being done we needed to move forward with another company. Matt handles me a bill for $2,400 for "his time and his staff's time measuring." I offered him $1,200 he denied. Instead, he harassed me with phone calls, even hired a lawyer to call me and demand payment.
Moreover, Matt is suing us for not paying for his time when clearly, the contract stated that it was valid only after construction repairs in the house has begun, which it never took place. Funny way to treat customers after such a significant loss. They might do a good job; I don't know, however, be prepared to hire a lawyer if you hire them because you might end up in court too!

Beware of Dryman Construction. Hired him them in 2019 for a kitchen remodel. Their subcontractors were terrible craftsmen. Kitchen cabinets were made with legs like tables. Legs are a tripping hazard and lacks sufficient toe kick area. Cabinets made incorrect size so they installed flat trim wood to cover gaps. Cabinets have a poor uneven stain. Job had many reworks, including countertops, flooring, plumbing and electrical. Reworks from inferior subcontractors were causing more damage than good. At one point I requested Matt Dryman to come look at this job but he refused my request. I paid for acceptable work. Dryman filed suit in small claims court. What a nightmare to deal with now at 87 years of age.
