Would not recommend Designs Unlimited Construction (owner-Eric Murray). I had a cart path constructed and ditching done so electric and water could be run down to my dock. The work was done in January 2015 in the Seneca area.
Below are the problems I had:
1. After giving me pricing for the job, he raised the price for the ditching because he said he had to change from the person who usually did the ditching to another person who charged more. I did agree to this but felt he should have stood by his estimate.
2. The ditching was insufficiently covered over leaving large holes and in several areas even the water pipe and electrical wiring was left exposed.
3. The path was laid satisfactorily but no cleanup was done to remove over-flow of the excess concrete which amounted to quite a bit since the path was over 200 feet long and sloped in several areas.
When Eric Murray came to inspect the job and collect the payment, I mentioned to him that I wasn't pleased with the lack of cleanup or covering over of the ditching. He said he would take care of it. He expressed his disappointment that the the walk had not been swept clean of loose concrete, The contractor has not been back, and I am left with a lot of loose concrete I will have to remove myself , the path to sweep, and a ditch to fill in.
In good conscience, I cannot recommend Designs Unlimited Construction and will not use them in the future for other construction work I was going to have done.
