Owner is terrible with communication, only comes around when he wants a check, puts all the communication on his leadman but doesn't communicate with him either and holds off on ordering supplies for weeks to find better pricing all the while jacking up the cost of the estimates, if you have a conflict, he walks away from you. So unproffesional, the carpenter and helper were more then professional and custom work once it was finally in was impecable, carpenter guys should get his own business because he did all the right things, minus working for Dupaul construction, poor employees!

Vince’s guys installed a door for me 3 1/2 years ago. There was a problem with the door that was being installed, which was not the fault of him or his workers, and that was all sorted out fine, but he did try to upcharge me from the original quote since it took more time to figure out the door predicament. The finishing trim was poorly pieced together on the outside, which made it look like a shoddy job, but none of these things warranted a negative review from me.
The problem emerged from the door has continually leaking. We caulked around the door, anywhere we thought the leak might be happening, and finally, after futile temps to absolve the leak, we concede on uninstalling the door to assess the problem, as well as tear out the part of the wood flooring that had become rotten from the water. The problem was immediately apparent: There was no flashing installed around any part of the door… Thus, allowing water to make its way behind the siding and come inside the house. This seems like something that a “professional” contractor would do know how to do correctly. If they can’t install a door correctly, I wouldn’t trust them to do a larger job.
