Who rates this as one of the top 30 percent? He is incapable of following instructions. Top three responses when things are done wrong. 1. I didn't know. 2. No one told me. 3. I forgot. Does not clean up all the clippings. Damages plants to the point of having to remove them. Doesn't always show up, has yet to pro-rate the bill. Ask them not to touch a plant, the next time they are there it is cut/ trimmed/ or damaged. Spend an hour going over what needs to be done and what you do not want done. NO notes are taken and months later you will hear excuses 1, 2, or 3 from above. At best they may be able to do an okay job mowing a lawn. Beyond that, expect 1/3 work to be okay, 1/3 to be wrong or inadequate, and 1/3 to result in damage. Does not know what plants they are working with and the needs of those plants, trims plants that should not be trimmed. Ask for a tree to be trimmed and you may it cut down to a flat level, no shaping at all. Ask to have a well created around a plant and the roots will be hacked into rather than building up a rim to hold the water. Having worked with landscapers and ardeners, both personally and professionally, this is the worst experience ever, and with a person who claims to be a "quality landscape" provider. Not even an acceptable gardener. These are just one persons observations, possibly several years and several properties are just an anomaly, not the norm. If you are considering this business, you may want to check several properties they have worked on for more than a year and talk to the owners of the property.
