I hired Mr Whiffin to remodel my home in the cultural district in FW His pricing was very competitive and he provided references so I was comfortable hiring him and providing several 'draws' asking for more money. He worked very quickly at first rewiring and plumbing my home. As time and deadlines went by work slowed down then stopped. He made many excuses and blamed contractors for not showing up. When I contacted them directly they stated they would not return as Mr Whiffin had paid them with 'bad checks'. I ended up having to hire new contractors who said that he had only replaced wiring and plumbing on the surface and they would have to replace his bad work to make my home safe. The more people I called it became obvious that this was a habitual problem. Long painful/expensive story short, don't let the diminutive appearance and the little round glasses fool you! This guy is wolf in sheep's clothing!
