E&E was first referred to me to fix my shingles when a windstorm in January of 2017 caused about a 12 foot by 12 foot section to blow off. I was very impressed at how they came and fixed them in just over a week after I called them. They did a great job and only charged me a couple hundred dollars so I gave them a $50 tip. Then I hired them to build my garage in the Fall of 2019. They did a fantastic job building it. The building inspector liked their work and all appeared good. There were a couple things they didn't do like I thought we'd agreed on (a window on the west side and some concrete stress cuts/lines) but overall I was happy. Another contractor I later hired said he'd grade their work on my garage at 93/100.
But then... I hired E&E to build my deck, deck with roof and balcony in the Spring of 2020. I was impressed with their punctuality and how they cranked out the work but their work was very shoddy this time. Literally too many things were done wrong to even begin to list. They were obviously in a hurry to get moved on to the next job and just simply slapped things together. I had them back twice to fix it but they just put bandaids on it. I believe E&E was a good group of workers that got too big too fast and stopped doing quality work in order to keep moving fast and make more money. It's either that, or they just simply didn't know how to properly build a deck and balcony. Anyway, I was very disappointed in their work the last time and I would not hire them again although I heard they moved to Montana anyhow. At one point, the owner, Eli Wengerd did tell me if I got someone else to fix it that I could send him the bill to pay for the repairs. The trouble is that everyone is so busy, that has not been possible as of yet.
