Eric installed my dad‘s pool furnace. He was very reliable, reasonably priced, and very knowledgeable of the original and new furnace that he installed. We had a very positive experience with him.

I have been asked to share the experience my business had with E& I Construction.
E&I was hired by my pediatric practice to enclose a small area of our office so we can see sick children during the COVID19 pandemic.
Eric, the owner and contractor, was not honest with us.
1) He overcharged us $2000 for materials. He purchased less material than he charged us for and returned materials he bought in excess. He kept the money he did not spend in the first place or received upon return of the excess supplies.
2) He told us he had a building permit for our project when he did not. He charged us for the building permit.
3) He gave us an insurance document which had some discrepancies on it. When we called the insuring company, we were informed that the paperwork/document was not sent by them. (The company is owned by his cousin who has since not returned our calls.)
4)He used sheetrock that was too thick for the project. It sticks out from the existing wall. He was going to put trim around it to disguise this mistake. Not surprisingly, we had to terminate the project 1/2 way through because we had no permit and he had no credible insurance.
We requested ONLY the $1917 difference in the materials cost; we had paid him $3428.
He told us he would pay us our money back, but needed "10 days for Home Depot to credit back" his account. We have not heard from him since.
Eric, of E&I Construction, financially took advantage of a pediatric practice to benefit himself.

Eric was hired 4/13/22 to build a bathroom in West Haven and to be complete 3-4 weeks.. He was terminated 5/19/22, he was not more than 20% completed on the job, everything he did was wrong and not to code, he provided a cancelled insurance certificate, he worked only a few hours a day, his help was not skilled or experience or did not show. Everything he did was completely scrapped and discarded. Another contractor hired for a loss of $15,000. He was completely dishonest. So sad that someone would take advantage of a handicap person.
