Jason agreed to do some work for us, including replacing some damaged ceilings. We signed a contract and paid what he requested, half up front, $2,800. He gave us a start date several times, but no workers showed up, and he didn't notify us about it or answer our calls or emails so we wasted six weeks waiting at home in case someone showed up to work. He never got back in touch, apparently deciding not to do the job and also not to return our money. We contacted the District Attorney's Consumer Protection office who contacted him and at first he lied to them that he had sent us a check, and then he lied twice more about planning to drop off a check to us and then he stopped answering their calls. He still has our money and has done none of the work contracted for.
