By Brett P.June 14, 2016Concrete Pool Deck renovation$16,00060 days
Had to take Mr. Easley to court over very poor concrete work around pool. Work was not level. He talked bad about his crew saying they were idiots and made derogatory comments about women with my wife present. After concrete was poured, three weeks went by before forms were removed. He sent over a worker, who he had pointed out as one of his worst employees, to remove the forms. He never inspected job after forms removed. I called to complain about job and he said there was nothing wrong with it even though he never inspected it. He said any repairs needed would be minor. He never performed any repairs. Repairs cost me over $4,000. Court judgement against him meant nothing as he filed bankruptcy and bankruptcy judge awarded nothing to me. This is Mr. Easley's second bankruptcy filing in 8 years. He does not stand behind his work and will intimidate you if you complain. He is aware how to skirt financial responsibility as no excess assets, equipment, or vehicles are in his name

Took 5 months to do my driveway, when when completed after less than a year started to crack and now 1 1/2 yrs cracks everywhere. Didn't cut for expansion and got concrete mix over everything.

Hired him on June 26, 2019 to do stomped style patio. Said he knew how to do it. Job was to be completed by July 9th via contract agreement. Gave him half to start the project and other half was to be paid on pour date. That date came and went and all I got was lip service with excuses why he couldn't start. When they finally came to start job he sent 3 individuals who clearly knew nothing about setting up forms and didn't have any tools necessary. Since I worked in concrete with my father I know a great deal about setting up and finishing concrete. However, I am 65 and have bad back to do it myself. I had to loan them my tools and tractor. Took them 3 half days to set the forms. each day were new employees. His so called foreman knows nothing about concrete work. Took him til the 23rd of July to finally pour the slab after constant promises he was ready but too many excuses why he couldn't start. He never did the stomping but used a "stencil" to make the slab look like stone. They were supposed to come back the next day to strip forms and remove plastic put up to protect siding from stain. When I removed the plastic since they didn't come back as promised I saw where they failed to get concrete in corners and the stain was not put on heavy enough to darken the concrete as it was on rest of the slab. He never came back to strip forms claiming his truck was down. After three weeks I striped them and took them out to the burn pile and disposed of them. Slab began to crack within three weeks because they never cut control joints where they should have.
This company should not exist or ever pour another yard of concrete again. Clearly he has no intent to follow through with anything what he says and uses the civil system to his advantage. Since it is futile to sue him I feel the only recourse I have is to hurt him financially through future loss of business. Oh, and by the way, they took my paint extension and roller I loaned them to put down adhesive before pouring. He admitted he had it and never returned it as promised. Run far! Run fast! Run away from this shyster!
