East Coast Roofing and Remodeling

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! We signed a contract on January 10, 2020 for them to put a roof over our patio. We gave them a deposit and were told it would be a couple of weeks before they could start. That was fine. But that time came and went without hearing from them. We had to call and text several times before they responded. We were told that there would be a delivery coming on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. That made me stop and think. When things are ordered you don’t get a 3 day delivery time, you will get a day of delivery and you sit and wait for it. This delivery never showed up. We called again, left a message and waited for a response. When we did hear from them he told us that he would be bringing the supplies to our house. Then we get a call saying that his wife put diesel fuel in his truck that takes unleaded fuel so he didn’t have a way to bring the supplies to us. He would call us and let us know when he could bring it over. Several days later we got that call and he brought the supplies over and put them in our garage. Again we didn’t hear anything from them for quite a while. He finally called and told us that we would be getting a delivery of lumber from Lowes. We waited all day for the delivery and it didn’t come. I called Lowes and asked if we were on the delivery schedule and neither the Lowes in S. Myrtle Beach or in Conway had us on the list. We again called and texted and didn’t hear from them for a while. We finally got a text about a week later with a picture attached. The message was that our delivery was sent to the job site they were working on at the time with a picture of something under a tarp. He said it had been delivered there and that when he got his truck fixed he would bring it over to us. Again we waited and waited but didn’t hear from them. We finally got a text from his wife saying that he wasn’t going to do the job. No explanation why, just that he wasn’t going to do it. We texted that we wanted our deposit back in full. Over a week later we get a FedEx delivery. When we open the envelope a large amount of bills fell out of it along with what looked like an order form for the supplies. There was also a note saying that someone would be coming over on Friday to give us the remainder of our deposit when they pick up the supplies. And that is where it ended. No one ever came over to pick up the supplies and neither did we get the remainder of our deposit. We have called and texted many times and still didn’t hear from him. Don't believe this guy. He tells you that he is fair and reliable when in reality he couldn’t be further from that. He makes you think that he is on the up and up but after he gets your money you wait and wait. Now we will have to file with the magistrate to get our money back and maybe get this crap out of our garage. All the time wasted when we could have found a reputable contractor. Again, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!!!!
