STOP hiring this cheater Ted Choi.
I lost MONEY, TIME and unfinished home with DIRT.
Very BAD experience. He took the advance 50%. From then he never care to protect Our property. The painter Ted Choi is very bad temper. He and his team of 18yr and 20yr old illegal immigrants ( Ted mention they have 10yr experience) they didn t care about my newly finished wood flooring they DENTED many areas not covered properly. And he got another bigger work, he left my home unfinished, giving lame causes to continue work, NOT even complete the work taken amount of the advance money. If I contact other different contractors they asking more than double the amount for the unfinished job.

Oct 2012. I hired Ted Choi ( East Bay Quality Paint) to take down my popcorn ceilings and discussed at great length the method he would use. My concern was if there was any asbestos it would be wet and removed from my premises immediately. I had his crew re texture and paint. The popcorn ceiling was left on the plastic on the floor and the workers walked through it, ripping the plastic while it was being smashed into my rug. My dining room table was moved on the patio uncovered ( I ended up covering it) while it rained for two days. I was displaced for 5 days and not warned a head of time. My house was a mess, took me a week to clean it up. Because they didn't remove the popcorn ceiling the way he explained and popcorn particles went all through my house; I spend another $700 to have my vents and rugs cleaned. My ceiling came out horrible and I was told by Ted that it was fine. He fixed two cracks that weren't floated out and left bulges. I have had 4 contractors give me bids to fix his work. May end up costing more to fix than what I paid him and his crew to do the job.
