Sent by American Home Shield...water heater. Ray said need new one, gave us receipt stating replacement. He stated he would get it turned in ...at 3 the next day he had not turned it in to AHS. This water heater was replaced by AHS in 2013...he turned us in for code violations on a water heater that AHS replaced with their ( and I am using this term very sarcastically) certified tech. Ray is very unprofessional and lacks the ability of getting his work done...unless you are not a warranty customer..then he is on it and charging those fees. I paid 75.00 for this man to sit on a invoice and tell me he was just too busy to submit it. Replaced our water heater with a competent plumber and did the cash out thru our warranty company. If you want to get taken and this man to lie ..Ray is your man call him he will show up...probably after he takes care of all his rent homes first( which he carries a Homesheild policy on thru AHS...wonder if he does his own service calls?? He just crooked enough to do it!!STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

By TiffanieJuly 29, 2019Fix a plumbing leak$75
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company was sent to me by American Home Shield, I was charged $75 for them to come out. They had to come out twice because the first time didn't fix the problem. The whole time the guy was there, he said he can't to too much work because he had other calls. The man was very unprofessional to start. We had to have water to our whole house shut off all weekend and when we called to have them come out Monday, we were hoping to finally be able to get our water back on. Nope! The man took one look at it and said he can not do anything because he is unable to access it. Even though he was able to access the same spot 3 days prior. He left with no resolution to our problem whatsoever. I am currently on hold with AHS trying to get a refund, but the outlook doesn't look good. Now that I've looked up their profile on BBB, I'm wondering why AHS would send someone who is not accredited and has a D+ rating. I can't even find the website for Short's Plumbing.

Avoid this guy and his service. This is by far one of the worst serviceman I have ever had in my house. Very expensive and tries hard to steal your money for his low quality service. I am reading in comments that AHS sends this guy. They should stop doing that.

By JtJune 17, 2019Faucet Repair
This company was sent by AHS to repair a bathroom faucet. Keep in mind this is in a 1 bathroom house. The earlier available time from the to come out was in 6 days. When they arrived, the looked at the problem for 15 minutes and said they needed to come back the next day. Received a call the next day saying they could not come because it needed more extensive repair, replace entire faucet, did not schedule an appointment at this time. 24 hours passed with no phone call to set up appointment. I called twice with no answer and no call back, the next day I called AHS and then magically the plumber called me. They claimed they lost their notes on the faucet and asked me to send pictures of it, after they received the pictures they then said they needed to come inspect again, NOT REPAIR. They could not schedule this for another 3 days, 2 weeks after the initial report was made. I ended up fixing the faucet myself with a $30 valve cartridge replacement where this plumber wanted to tear out walls and replace piping.

My service request thru our home warranty company was assigned to Short's Plumbing. He came there, took a glance and spent there less than a few minutes, and told me that he needs the approval from AHS but he said a few times that he can fix it himself if AHS does not approve it. He left the house and the day after, I got a call from AHS saying that the problem was due to "excessive force and not wear and tear" for a house that was almost 40 years old! I was charged a service fee of $75 (that this dude will get) and my problem was not fixed and AHS wants another $75 to send someone else.

Our service request thru our home warranty company was assigned to Short's Plumbing. I gave them a full 24 hours to contact me before I even tried to call them to see when they could come out. I called, no answer, I left a message, never got a call back. I tried again, still no answer. The warranty company attempted to contact them 2 times as well and nothing. So here we are day 3 issue still not resolved or even addressed and our warranty company has had to dispatch it out to another company because Short's has never responded to any attempt to contact them. So, I definitely wouldn't recommend them .. heck you cant even get ahold of them !!

This plumbing company was sent by American Home Shield to replace a garbage disposal unit. They arrived promptly as they promised and quickly replace the disposal unit with no problems. They even cleaned up after themselves without being asked and did it on their own. They were In-N-Out within about 25 minutes. We were pleased with this company on this occasion.

Fantastic service. Spoke reasonably about repair expectations and suggestions for future care. I definitely would hire again.
