We called Echo Family after finding their business card on our door. We live in a new neighborhood and were looking for a good landscaper. Jaekwon, the owner, showed up to our first meeting and took measurements of our yard. He also brought a booklet full of his past jobs and shared his ideas with us. The next time we met him he brought drawings of what he thought would be perfect for our family (we have two young girls). He definitely listened well to what we wanted but also added some things we never would have thought about. His bid was not the cheapest, but very reasonable and he found ways to get us what we wanted at a lower cost. My father in law is in the construction business so he checked the estimate for us and also spoke to Jaekwon and said he seemed like a really good guy and knew what he was doing. So we ended up going with him and are so happy that we did. We went with Jaekwon to pick out all of our plants at a nursery, our tile at a stone yard and our fountain at a place that sells pots (which they convert into fountains). We LOVE our yard and landscaping. He built a garden box so our girls can plant seeds and watch them grow into beautiful and tasty plants. And we love the sound of the water fountain that he installed for us that automatically refills water so basically requires no maintenance. The spot and path lights are really nice and turn on automatically when the sun goes down (there is a sensor). His entire crew was very friendly but most importantly paid such close attention to all the small details in their work. The finishes touches were perfect. They tore out the existing patches of concrete and the new concrete had a beautiful finish in the areas they left as concrete and the other areas had tile. At my old house the contractor did not do this and the tile kept on cracking in the areas where the old concrete met the new concrete. Some of the cheaper contractors come in with lower bids because of cutting corners like this. His customer service after all the work was done was even more amazing. Some of the plants we picked out grow better without much sunlight. But our backyard had more sun than expected, so he replaced all the plants that were not doing well with plants that do well with sun. He gave us options based on what he knew we would like. A few of my neighbors are also using him at the moment. One of them showed me his backyard that was still under construction and he was very impressed at their attention to detail and the perfect finishes in the built in fireplace in his California room.

Our neighbors recommended Echo Family Landscaping and after taking a look at their front and back yard, we decided to go with them and was not disappointed. The owner, Jaekwan, was very knowledgeable and helped guide us throughout the entire process. We started by creating a wish list of everything that we wanted, and Jaekwan came back with a few different plans for us to go through and tweak to our liking. He then took us to a few nurseries to pick out all of the plants that we wanted and to a tile company to select the tiles for our front and back yard.
The day to day activities was managed by his son, Tyler. He was very friendly and able to effectively communicate with us throughout the entire process (it also doesn't hurt that he speaks 4 languages: English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Korean). Everything was installed and planted with great care. They answered all the questions we had, and kept us up to date about their progress regularly. The end result was beautiful, we liked their work so much that we also hired them to install an epoxy floor in our garage.
