Eco Solar added 7 panels to an existing 14 Sunpower panel system in March 2015. The job consisted of installing the 7 panels and running the wires from the panels through existing conduit to a previously installed Solar Edge inverter. The work involved is not complex so I had no problems with the installation.
Two different contractors signed the electrical permit for the two separate phases of the installation. The first was signed by Eco Solar and the second by a third party contractor so I don't know if Eco Solar did the actual work or not.
I limited the solar panel installation to my garage roof that can accommodate 21 panels only so I decided on the high efficiency Sunpower panel system. Eco Solar was the lower of the two companies that submitted proposals based upon the Sunpower panels.
My biggest complaint with Solar Edge was the cost the additional 7 panels. The 7 panels installation cost approximately 50% of the 14 panel system. Off hand, this does not look unreasonable, but no addition inverter was required and the basic infrastructure was already installed.
I would only recommend if it is a competitive bidding situation. Also, Eco Solar is a small company and at times do not answer phone calls or reply to messages.
