DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had been a customer of Gulf to Bay Pools and I was very happy with them. Unfortunately, Gulf to Bay sold their business to Economy Pools and the service became non existent. I had weekly chlorine/cleaning services. Although the technician left a check list saying that the work was done, I was suspicious because there was often debris in the pool and the water was hazy. When I complained, they suggested that I switch to a salt generator, but this would be bi-weekly service. To encourage me to switch, they offered me a $20 a month discount. So I switched. The discount never happened and the service got worse. Because the techs weren't performing the full services that I was paying for, the generator would often end up with a no flow error and stop chlorinating the pool. Thus the pool would turn green and I would have to pay to have it cleaned up. The techs were not even checking the chlorinator during their biweekly service, because the chlorinator would often show a low/no salt error, again resulting in a green pool - even right after the tech was here. The price of the service crept up from $99 a month to $126 within months. Then without notifying me, they switched to bi-weekly billing instead of monthly. This results in extra revenue for them without providing additional services for me. After months of dissatisfaction with the salt water situation, I called multiple times and asked that the generator be removed. It never was. If you call and ask to speak to a manager, you end up having to leave a message and no one ever calls back. I teach school so I'm not home when the techs come. However, I have been home during the summer and was actually at home when the tech came to service my pool. When the tech came the first week of June, the pool was cloudy and there was debris on the bottom of the pool. I watched from the window as the tech entered the pool area, threw a handful or two of a white substance into the pool, took a picture of the pool and left. WHAT??? No cleaning of the skimmer or filter. No vacuuming or even brushing of the pool. This is what I'm paying $62.00 per visit for? I called their office but had to leave a message. No one got back to me. Upon the second visit in June, two weeks later, the tech (a different one from the previous visit) walked into the pool area, looked at the pool which had begun to turn green snapped a picture (from an angle that reflected the sky not the pool) and walked out!!! I had heard a clap of thunder and there was a typical afternoon storm on the horizon so I assumed he might have been uncomfortable working on the pool under those conditions and would return the next day. NOPE. The only thing that happened the next day was an invoice for services in my email and a debit from my checking account. After that my pool became a swamp. There was so much debris in the skimmer, pool pump, and filter that once again the chlorinator stopped working. I called was told that someone would be out in 2 days, but no one ever showed up. At this point I was done. I called to cancel and the girl that answered the phone seemed surprised. After explaining to her all of my problems and the reason why I was cancelling she was very apologetic. She said she would cancel the service and a manager would be calling. Surprise, no call yet from the manager.
New service came out to clean up the mess made by Economy Pools. When the filter was removed to clean, it was obvious it has been at least 6 months or more since the filter had been removed and cleaned. It was covered in green algae slime. The inside of the tank was also covered in algae. This clean up will be costly, but this is a lesson learned. Read reviews, and when you aren't getting the service you pay for, cancel immediately.

This company was servicing one of my homes along with another company in error. Found out that I was paying two companies and after speaking with the rep that came out from Economy pools we decided to keep Economy over the other company we were using due to the promises that were made... what a mistake. The pool guy has come out on a bi-weekly basis for 3 cleanings and has not vacuumed, has not brushed, does not leave a card with what was done and has spent less then 30 mins on overall service each time. After the 2nd visit with no real cleaning being done I called in and spoke with Alexis and she assured me that the person who would be coming out the following day would be providing full service and that she noted the account. The following day a person from Economy pool shows up and does no vacuuming, no brushing, no chemical check and less than 30 min of overall service on my pool. I take the time to call in and speak with Alexis who generally will always answer the phone and after being on hold for over 15 min she answers and acts as if I never called in. I question her about the fact that she read something that said to leave a card next visit and she all of the sudden remembers speaking with me and says that she might of not updated the notes when she put them in. After finally getting to the point of the lack of service again and sending pictures of a dirty pool she says that the manger would be reaching me soon and that the best she can do is get someone out on Monday to do the job, this being a Friday after explaining the issues I was having the day before. I wait, no manger calls but actually the same pool cleaner shows up, looks at the pool and then goes back to his truck to leave! Realizing he did not intend on doing any cleaning I walk up to his vehicle and ask him to please come to the pool so I can show him the issues I was having which he kindly did. Once we reach the pool I point out the obvious large amount of dirt and debris on the floor of the pool and he goes on to say that he was never informed that he should vacuum every bi-weekly visit, his vacuum does not work and that the pool looks clean to him so clean that he would like to show me with his brush. He goes back to his truck brings a brush pushes it along the bottom step as you walk into the pool and a cloud of dirt follows the brush as he pushes. Again, the pool is very obviously cloudy with dirt all over the bottom of it and he looks up at me and says " I see what you mean now". After coming to terms with what was happening I wish him a happy weekend and immediately go inside to call Economy pool back and guess who answers? If you said Alexis you are correct, I let her know my experience that a manager never reached out and she asks me to hold and that she would be transferring me to a manager right away, I hold for about 8 min someone takes me off of hold and hangs up the call... I call back, am on hold for 10 min and finally give up and decide that I would never use Economy Pools again and that I would be sure to let everyone I could know my experience so that no one else who takes the time to look them up UNLIKE I did, wont have to suffer so much of their time wasted like I have with this horrible excuse for a pool service.

DO NOT USE this pool service. When I bought my house it had been sitting for three months. The skimmer and skimmer line was full of debris. The pool wasn't functioning as well as it should so they put in a new pool pump (which I told them they didn't need to do because the line was clogged). They did so anyway and charged my card over 900 dollars. The pump wasn't the issue (anyone with common sense would know this) so they came out to blow the line, which they did skimmer side down (instead of pump side out), causing a massive clog. After 10 hours of snaking the clog I cleared the line I ended up in the ER with chemical pneumonia because of the amount of chlorine they dumped into the pool. Recently the pump stopped working (electrical issue not pump) while I was out of town. They did not contact me as they said (no voicemails or missed calls) and left the pool untreated. I contacted them and they stated that someone would be out but nobody ever showed. After one week I had not call back and nobody showed. I only received a call after I left a scathing review on Google. So after charging me for a month of service I didn't use I had to treat the green pool myself. Please avoid this company.
Here was the response from yesterday’s review:
Economy Pool (Owner)

We are sending technician out today. We tried calling you with no answer. The picture we see don’t match the pictures you posted. While the pool has some debris it is no where near the shape in pictures attached. Once we figure out what happened we will reach back out to you. ThankUpdate: After posting this review yesterday I finally got a call back from Tabatha. She tried to double talk and talk over me and tell me that they sent someone out and the pool looked fine. I told her yes because I cleaned it myself. Your guy never showed up last week and you are only contacting me because of this review. I demanded not to be billed for July because I didn’t get service and also because I suffered from chemical pneumonia because of their failure to properly treat the pool.
Do not use this company.

BEWARE: WE WERE VERY HOPEFUL WITH THIS COMPANY WHEN WE DECIDED TO SWITCH OUR POOL SERVICE. MARK, THEIR REPAIRS LEAD, PROMISED THAT A NEW PUMP WOULD FIX OUR ISSUES WE WERE HAVING AND ALSO THAT THEY WOULD TAKE A LOOK AT OUR POOL VACUUM AND GET US UP AND RUNNING. WE SIGNED UP FOR SERVICE AND PURCHASED A NEW PUMP. THE TECHNICIAN DIDN’T BOTHER TO LOOK AT THE POOL VACUUM NOR DID THE NEW PUMP FIX THE ISSUES WE WERE HAVING BEFOREHAND. THEY STATED THAT IT MUST BE A LEAK UNDERGROUND AND TO CALL LEAK DETECTION. WE HIRED ANOTHER COMPANY (AT A COST OF $150) TO COME OUT AND DO A LEAK DETECTION ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THEY HAD PLUMBED OUR NEW PUMP INTO A BROKEN PIPE. HOW A TECHNICIAN WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TELL THE PIPE WAS NOT DAMAGED IS BEYOND ME. WHEN I CONTACTED THEM THEY SENT A TECH OUT AND HE SAID MARK WOULD BE IN CONTACT. MARK IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK WITH AFTER THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY. HE WAS VERY RUDE AND WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK AND EXPLAIN THINGS. HE DENIES EVERYTHING. THEY ONLY REPAIR ABOVE GROUND. WELL THIS WAS ABOVE GROUND. THEN THEY SAID OR WELL THE PIPE GOES UNDERGROUND. YES LIKE LESS THAN A FOOT BUT IT DOES GO DOWN A LITTLE UNDERGROUND. YOU CAN NEVER GET ANY HELP WITH ANYONE IN THE OFFICE WITH ANY OF THE ISSUES. THE SERVICE SIDE ONLY OK. THEY DIDN’T TELL US THAT WE NEEDED TO SIGN A WAIVER TO MOVE OUR POOL COVER DURING THE WINTER MONTHS SO THEY JUST DIDN’T CLEAN IT. WE NEVER KNEW WHEN THEY CAME OR AFTER REQUESTING A REPORT WE NEVER GOT ADDED. WHEN ENDED UP HAVING ANOTHER COMPANY ($235 COST) COME AND FIX THE POOL PIPE SO WE COULD ACTUALLY RUN OUR PUMP AFTER TWO WEEKS OF GOING BACK AND FORTH WITH THEM AND THEY REFUSED TO HELP US. WHEN I CONTACTED THEM TO CANCEL A LADY (WHO WAS ACTUALLY REALLY NICE) TALKED TO ME ABOUT ALL THE ISSUES I WAS HAVING WITH THEIR COMPANY AND SAID THEY WOULD COMP A MONTH AND SHE WOULD LOOK INTO THESE ISSUES FOR ME AND TO NOT CANCEL. THE NEXT DAY I GET A CALL AND THEY SAID THEY WERE CANCELING OUR SERVICE. REALLY. THEY LET US GO AS A CLIENT STATING THEY COULD NOT FIX THAT ISSUE. THEY CAME AND TOOK THE SALT DEVICE OFF OUR POOL SYSTEM THE SAME DAY. I HAD PAID FOR OUR SERVICE FOR THE WHOLE YEAR AND THEY STATED THEY WOULD BE SENDING ME A CHECK. I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN AS RESPONSIVE TO OUR NEEDS AS THEY WERE OF REMOVING THEIR SALT DEVICE. I HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH A WORST COMPANY THAN THIS ONE.

Terrible service. Pool green and algae. When we call they give excuses why they couldn’t come out. We swam in a dirty pool for weeks when we arrived to our Florida home. After leaving a technician called saying there was no key under the mat for the gate. We explained there has never been a key and the key was at his office. Then Covid hit and understandably they weren’t here but continued to charge us. We disputed the charges after paying them for over a year and they sent us to collections for those 2 1/2 months. We are thankful because now we have another pool company that arrives! Find another company

Jacksonville -This has been the worst company to deal with. They cannot keep staff, and their local manager is overworked and overwhelmed. I understand the labor issue, but as a client, we got so tired of the excuses and our pool looked horrible. They would miss scheduled visits, and not be able to get out within the next week. It took over 3 weeks to resolve an equipment issue, and what they replaced it with basically put me back to a chlorine pool, rather than salt and then lied about it. They used a substandard piece of equipment anyone can find on amazon. Lack of service and unfortunately the complaining of the local manager sent us elsewhere.
