  Broken water pipe under house and installed new garbage disposal.

  We've been using Edgewood Plumbing for about 8 years now. Todays job I thought was extra challenging but the guys got it taken care and went the extra mile on top of that. By the way they were very quiet during the whole process and my 93 year old mother slept through the whole job. VERY PLEASED to say the least.

  Repair leaky faucet

  Edgewood Plumbing - NOT a professional organization

  Professional is not a word that comes to mind when I think of Dan at Edgewood Plumbing. A couple of months ago, he came out to our house, in Redding, to repair a leak under our kitchen sink. About an hour after he completed the call, my wife noticed that the sink was leaking again and called Dan again. During his return visit, my wife asked Dan if he would be willing to travel to our vacation cabin, in northern Shasta County, to fix a leaky faucet in the bathtub. The cabin is in a rather remote area, so I was very happy to hear that he would be willing to make the trip, and I certainly didn't mind paying for his travel time . I sent Dan a picture, and a diagram, of the leaky faucet. As agreed, I contracted Dan just before we left for a 10 day trip, to confirm that he was coming. He was, and I gave him directions and my cell phone #, so that he could text me. On the 7th day of our trip, I still hadn't heard anything from Dan, so I texted him. He said he planned to come that day, and would text me when he left Redding. He never showed, nor did he call or text me. I waited the next day for him to contact me. Nothing. Finally, on the day before we were scheduled to leave, I texted him and asked if he planned on coming. To this, Dan responded that he was "busy" and just wasn't going to be able to make it.

  It goes without saying that trying to get a plumber on short notice, particularly in outlying areas, is a nightmare. Dan knew this and, despite making a commitment to do work for me for which I was willing to pay his full rate, plus travel, he opted to first string me along, and then leave me high and dry (actually, not so dry). With 3 rentals and a home, in Redding, it is very likely that I would have used Edgewood Plumbing numerous times in future years, even if they didn't always do the job right the first time. But, if I can't trust somebody to keep their word, I won't do business with them. Because, to me, integrity means something. I wish it did to Dan.

  I called this am at 0930 about a clogged toliet. He was here within an hour and cleared my drain and gone within 30 mins. Price very reasonable. He gives Vet and Senior discount. Nice, clean and professional. I am so "Happy" I found a new Plummer. Maybe now calling the plummer won't be so scary. I have used 3 other plummers in town he is far the best. Debbie H.
