  BE AWARE. This company is a pure SCAM. Ed Carroll is the owner and has owned several paving companies over the past 35 years purely dedicated to scamming people especially those in rural areas. Luckily this city boy who recently decided to move out to the country (I. E. me lol) could smell the stench of a fast talking gypsy. His companies are known in several states and this new company TCP has only been in business since April 2020. The 5 star ratings you see are all fictitious because these guys have gotten more elaborate with their scheme more than likely they set up several gmail accounts and have been adding fake photos to prop their farce of a company. I really was hoping to get a reputable paver to do my driveway after answering a Facebook ad about paving in the area, unfortunately my excitement led me to once again play myself ?. Ed showed up charismatic and early Tuesday August 24, 2021. He told my friend Tom (73), Myself (34), and my wife (32) that he could asphalt our driveway for $10,000 then said he could also do a chip seal like the County Road a chip seal would be $5,500 and proceeded to show a video of what that looked like with a layer of Item 4, asphalt, tar and rock. Edward Carroll said he had “left over materials” from paving state highways, county roads, and schools. We made a deal and he said he’d come back the following day. The following day comes and no show. He text me later in the day and said he’d had equipment issues and would be out the next day. The next day he says to my wife ( I overheard while on the can) that he actually had to finish up a job the day before that’s why they never showed. I know. I know. Red flags everywhere at this point. His crew of ten wound up being a crew five. One guy who did all the work and another whom they had met at their motel the night before.The other three sat in their trucks. I spoke to everyone and gave them water and sodas all day. Ed went out about the rural neighborhood, soliciting for more work. Anyway to make this long story short they cleared my driveway and used my existing rocks as base in one part and left driveway with dirt in more than half of it. They sprayed liquid tar directly to the dirt and poured gravel. At the end of the day we were dumb founded. My neighbors came over and saw the monstrosity and laughed. I was furious. I cancelled the check. Needless to say I am one of the lucky ones. Don’t waste your time or energy with these guys. Do yourself a favor. I have provided you here with links to newspaper articles and videos of several others who were taken to the cleaners by ED and company. Unfortunately this is a family business operating with no scruples.
