    I contacted nine contractors to get bids for our addition. Ed Walsh was professional, friendly, showed up on time (or a few minutes early! -- instead of calling to postpone the meeting, which happened twice with other contractors. Also, every other contractor was late and a few of them, after spending an hour to get specifications, didn't even bother to bid or return phone calls). Ed and his crew did the work he said they would do, on time and on budget. Several years later, we are still impressed with the quality of the workmanship. Ed was creative in figuring out how to put the laundry room in (we had plumbing challenges) and he pointed out several items we could complete on our own if we wanted to save some money. This is how it should be. Without hesitation, we are contacting him again to do our kitchen remodel. I'm not even going to bother getting other bids. I know I'll be treated fairly, the work will be up to our standards, and it will be done on time.

    We used Ed Walsh for our Kitchen renovation and also for work on our Deck. There are only a few people that understand what vision we are trying to create and the feeling of honesty and exceptional work that goes into a job - even if it's a small job or Big job. Ed is the only person we know that makes you feel comfortable with the project at hand along with honesty and great workmanship. These days it's a little hard to find someone with these qualities! & Ed Walsh has them all. His work speaks for itself and at the end of the day you would be the happiest customer and more importantly he's made my wife and I the happiest homeowners in the neighborhood! Hingham, MA. I would recommend Ed Walsh & Minot Light Builders a 1000%!

    We hired Ed Walsh as our general contractor to build an addition on to our home. The quality of the work was sub-par and has cost us tens of thousands of dollars to fix. All workmen who have worked on any part of our addition, since Mr. Walsh completed it, have been shocked at the not only poor quality of the work but also the unsafe conditions Mr. Walsh left, including live wires in the walls, plumbing pipes that have two inch gaps in them, resulting in massive water damage, electrical and plumbing infrastructure that is poorly laid out and does not follow industry standards. The list goes on and on and we continue to pay for Mr. Walsh's incompetence.
