Great deal on quotes, Knowledgeable, Competent

He worked on my kitchen flooring, den, and bathrooms. I found his quote to be the most affordable. He will do as you ask but you have to make sure you have a design of what you want and have him acknowledge the design and keep a copy of that. He remodeled my master's bathroom - changed the step-down shower to one that is easy to step in (level with the bathroom floor) and tiled from floor to ceiling. He also replaced the vanity (we purchased the vanity) and toilet (also purchased by us). Make sure that he lists down on his quote everything he said he would do together with the price. Watch some DIY videos so you know what to expect and add it to the work description. He works on referrals and does a great job. Just make sure they do not rush through your project - make his workers take their time to do a good job.

    Competent and Knowledgable but...

They do a pretty good job, but you have to make sure you have your design on paper - what you want done. Make sure he acknowledges your design and quotes from it. They have a tendency of rushing the job, which is good if you are strapped for time, but force them to slow down so you could look at certain details you want done. Put everything in writing and make sure he promises to come back if something needs to be fixed. He is pretty dependable and you can pretty much trust the guy. He wants to keep his customers and get referrals. He worked on my step-down shower - an old design that I was not fond of. He was going to raise the floor to be on the same level as the rest of the bathroom, raise the fixtures as well. I wanted to have a faucet fixture instead of just the showerhead and controls but his men forgot to raise the faucet. It looked like a foot wash, which was not my desire. My husband would not let him cut through the back wall to correct the problem. So... there you go! A foot wash!!! I hated it and I still hate it. But the contractor was willing to fix the problem except my stubborn husband wouldn't let him. So.. I blame my husband for it. I might call him back later to fix it without my husband's consent. I would still call Rick's House of Tiles to do my kitchen counters. That's if my husband would prefer to have a contractor do it. Rick's House of Tiles quotes are much more affordable to me than others that have quoted my projects.
